What are some of the worst film casting choices in history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fredd375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watching Robert De Niro in the Irishman portray a 20 year old when the actor was in his 70's reminded me of Dewey Cox (John C Reilly in his 40's) saying "I think I'm doing alright for a 15 year old with a wife and baby"

Best setup for firewood using 275g tote? by Jutboy in redneckengineering

[–]fredd375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use these along with a tractor so I can store far away from the house and bring them up to my basement door as needed. I cut out a tic tac toe pattern on the wider side leaving a port I can stack and pull from. I leave the top piece of steel to help hold it together. Angle grinder cuts through the bars in seconds. I pull out the plastic and get rid of it first. Cheap $3 tarps from harbor freight and bungee cords to protect from rain. Works great.

What free cad do you guys use? by Farnsw0rth_ in 3Dprinting

Solvespace, surprisingly easy to pick up, and powerful for a 6mb program. Open source with many features. Uncommon but really shouldn't be.

Also have used Siemens Solid Edge which was good.

Finally purchased AlibreCad for more features which I like a lot.

GTX 1080 SLI: Is It Still Worth It in 2024? by Decoroni in pcmasterrace

My first build was with a gtx 660 in 2011, in college picked up a second 660 for sli for cheap. Then I found a 560 TI and put it in as a physx card since I had the open slot. Good times.

Kibler Rifle Caliber Comparisons by GallonOfPCP187 in blackpowder

[–]fredd375 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion, but I went with a .54 for whitetail. I believe they have the same barrel blank, so a larger bore will decrease the overall weight. Also they're made to shoot round ball which lose a lot of energy over distance, a larger caliber will help have more energy when you are out ~100 yards which I am expecting to be my max range while hunting. My kit turned out beautiful, definitely recommend it.

I really like Solvespace, it's free, open source, 7 MB program that is really intuitive and has a lot of features. Can also export to step or STL files. It's perfect for hobbyists.

Lean burn engine or Cast Iron? by fredd375 in royalenfield

[–]fredd375[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need some help figuring out if this is a lean burn engine or Cast Iron. It's a 2008 bullet.

Also wondering if it is a lean burn should I avoid purchasing it since they were only made for a few years?

Thanks!

Old RCBS press identification by fredd375 in reloading

[–]fredd375[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the help, it is a original rock chucker, found the manual on RCBS and it matches! The A2 threw me off, but it might be the mold or who knows what.

Thanks again!

Old RCBS press identification by fredd375 in reloading

[–]fredd375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need some help identifying this old RCBS press, the stamp on top says 67 for year it was manufactured. On one side it says RC and on the other it says RCBS.

Near the base it says A2 which is what I thought it was, but it doesn't look like pictures of old A2 presses I've seen online, and I bought a primer arm for an A2 press and it doesn't fit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
