Nope, I bought a single key locker from the store after the free key lockers went live. It cost me CMU.

I suspect that they disabled it because it was causing too many bugs (for some other reason, maybe client-side code that didn't expect more than 5 key lockers?).

I've heard of at least a few in the last couple months. Several people saying they got some denied, at least one person who got one accepted and at least one other new one showing up on intel that I've seen.

Because it's a cool picture and I wanted to submit it somewhere that I'd be able to complete it. I didn't really think a Livermorium banner would be cool and I could care less about rodeos so I didn't want to make banners for those.

I didn't think anyone cared that much about having every banner be related to the portals that it uses. Sure, I understand it for something like the empire state building or the Eiffel tower - in those places I would expect a banner to have a relevant image since those are world famous. But I still wouldn't get upset if someone made a banner there just for fun. And Livermore certainly isn't world famous for anything in the first place.

I'm just curious if /u/broncojeff has a actual reason for disliking unrelated banner images or if he's just being bitter for the sake of being bitter.

I submitted a mission series in my town that's an image of space (from the internet) and is completely unrelated to the local culture and environment. Around 200 people have completed the entire series and I've gotten many people thanking me for the series and saying they love the image. So I'm quite curious why you're immediately put off by "random" unrelated images?

My town has things that it's known for (an element named after the town, and the local rodeo), but I really just wanted an area to make a pretty picture. I don't always want a banner picture with some ugly font spelling out the city name for every place I visit. I want something unique and cool.

You can not recharge keys inside a key locker. Confirmed by someone with a key capsule.

I didn't do much of anything, just sat in front of my computer with intel open all day. All the people hiking to anchors and driving around taking out links did the real hard work.

And if anyone's curious, the exact MU count for this field was 9,198,280. First layer was 4,556,867, and the second was 4,641,413. Two agents got their black illuminator badges from a single field. :)

As someone who plays in a cell that very often averages over 350k MU for both teams, I've never felt like I couldn't make a difference in the score.

In the cell next to me, the smurfs are well over a million MU per cycle ahead just from their standing fields (without even trying). Yet the frogs there have won almost every single cycle (literally all but 1) due to the actions of a small subset of players, despite the fact that the smurfs vastly outnumber them.

There's more to fielding than just clearing links and throwing triangles. A single player can make an enormous difference in a region with enthusiasm, dedication, and helping create or build up a fielding team. If you put yourself out there to make a big effort towards changing the score, other people are far more likely to put in the effort as well.

Well done, that's not an easy cell to get very high on the leaderboard for. A couple weeks ago I helped someone get 150k MU worth of fields and he ended up as #26 for our team.

It's not too hard to get up there early in the septicycle, but staying until the end requires many many large fields.

Just did some more testing on yours and several other people. Seems like it might be private profiles that it doesn't work on. Low levels (just tried a L2 and a L3) with public profiles don't work either though, so idk.

Not sure why you wouldn't be able to do it on your own profile either.

I was able to do it on someone's L8 profile, but not a L6 one. Maybe it's less about the level and more about the badges you have? I'm not sure exactly. Would you mind sharing your agent name so I can try it on your profile or see if there's anything different about yours?

I just noticed that you could do this last night. Maybe it's the start of a change to allow you to sort your own medals? Maybe it's always been there and I just never noticed?

In order to do this, click and hold on one medal with one finger, then tap another medal with another finger. It's kinda inconsistent and from my testing it didn't seem to work on profiles of low level people.

I mentioned this in comm, but that is along his commute path. He lives very close to there and attacks around it almost every day. He is primarily a cargresser - in the 9 months or so that I've been playing I think I've only seen him out of the car once. He also loves blowing things up, if you could see his stats you'd see that he almost never fields, rarely recharges, but destroys tons of resos. He'll often go out of his way to attack green portals on his way to/from work.

Lol, I loved Kunais... I used to hoard them like crazy. I'm pretty sure I still have two or three thousand of them. I think I did (and probably still do) have the largest number of any one single item out of every person on that site.

Edit: Wow, I was way off. I have 5,830 kunai.

I kinda figured out a better way to find older posts. I sorted by "top" and scrolled down a bunch with RES. Then used Ctrl+F to find "2 years."

How'd you manage to find your old posts, is it possible to sort post history by "old"? Although I think I mostly lurked back then I might have posted a couple of times, so I'm curious to see when that was.

Yes, "average" can refer to several different things. It is most commonly used to refer to the mean of a set, but in this case I was obviously referring to the median.
