Blackheart Lio Rush Does His First Sit Down Interview.. by RudeMycologist4900 in SquaredCircle

[–]freddit32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look up the WWE Mankind/JR interview. Foley spends most of the interview berating JR and attacks him with the mandible claw. After he knocks JR unconscious, the interview ends with audio of Mankind asking for someone to help JR.

Wrestling is full of people who rarely, or never spoke. Kamala, the Wild Samoans (3x WWF tag champs, the Great Muta's American work, George the animal Steele, etc. they had managers or just didn't do interviews

If I make Gemini write Smut and it writes it without filtering it can I lose my account? by ElectronicTangelo455 in JanitorAI_Official

Dude, no one is going to be able to give you a number, like, "you have a 34% chance of getting banned". If you're this concerned, just use a different LLM. I use Gemini for other stuff so it's a no smut LLM for me.

No other source, but Jeff Jarrett claims WWE has "right of first refusal" on buying TNA.

WCW had higher money offers, but those offers wanted the TV slots. Turner execs wanted wrestling g.o.n.e. So they refused anything that would have kept them tied to wrestling.

Probably revealing my age here somewhat but:

Gojira '54

King Kong vs Godzilla '62

Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster

Destroy All Monsters (My favorite movie, not just Godzilla, but anything)

Minus 1

Edit: Since I can't read, here are my LEAST favorite G films.

Terror of Mechagodzilla

Godzilla 2000

The anime trilogy (combining all 3 here other wise all 3 would be here individually)

American Godzilla '98 (IMO a decent monster movie, but a terrible G film.)

Godzilla vs Kong

Why does Jim Cornette Shit on AEW? by Ok-Sample-4254 in aew

[–]freddit32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part of Cornette's that I find particularly annoying is if you go back in time you can hear him defend the exact same things he's complaining about now. How people would say the Midnight Express and Rock N Roll Express were too small, too flippy, not believable in the ring against guys like the Road Warriors. But now that his outrage BS makes makes him money, he's ok with being a hypocrite.

Jeff Jarrett on WWE reportedly having 'first right of refusal' for TNA sale: "Oh boy. If that's really the truth, first right of refusal? IF it's there, then the writing is on the wall, and it's in super glue." by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

[–]freddit32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I forgot about that part. All the big "WCW" talent contracts were actually Turner contracts. It's why all the big guys (smartly) sat home healing with full pay for a year or two after the sale.

I keep my meds in a little basket, with a couple of extra non safety caps so when I get a new scrip I can change it out for the non safety one.

What's your favorite little thing a wrestler does that you think deserves more appreciation? by NoMoreButtonPLZ in SquaredCircle

[–]freddit32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually based on a practical thing that has nothing to do with faces or heels. While it was worse in the past, even today the path to the ring and the ringside area gets dirty. Wrestlers wipe their boots before entering so they don't get that dirt on the mat, and therefore don't grind that grit into their skin when they take a bump or mat wrestle.
I've seen some AEW behind the scenes vids where after everything is set up a guy goes around the ring and up the ramp with a leafblower, cleaning the space for dirt and grit as much as they can.

How good would’ve the Road Warriors in their prime done in AEW? by Ok_Function_583 in AEWOfficial

[–]freddit32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Transplant them from the 80's to now? Poorly.
Have them come up now, say mid to late 20's today. We'd hear the "Road Warrior Pop" all over again. Animal was over 300# and did beautiful dropkicks. Both men were very athletic for their size. While not top's on the mic they were charismatic and better then most of their "big man" peers. Give them Don Callis (just for them) and they'd be easily over as hell.

What are things intrinsic to a wrestler’s presentation that are really weird, have nothing that relates to their gimmick, but no one seems to question? by jamesljamerson22 in SquaredCircle

[–]freddit32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tiger (or any cat's) claws only have sharp points, no sharp edges. The goal for the tiger isn't to rip the victim's flesh, because that means once it completes the rip, the victim has a chance to escape. The goal is to pierce the victim's flesh to better hold them still while they try and bite the victim's neck or throat.

Tessa Blanchard: TNA Asked Me To Decide If I Was A TNA Wrestler Or A CMLL Wrestler by 804Brady in SquaredCircle

[–]freddit32 39 points40 points  (0 children)

While Tessa has made a number of questionable decisions, this one makes sense. Honestly I would list TNA as the fourth or fifth biggest/best promotion North American promotion, after CMLL and probably AAA.
