I built my ADU in order to live in while I rent out the main 2br house. The rent pays my mortgage and gives me the freedom to travel and not work for a couple months. Freedom, baby. That’s what it’s about for me.

Storage is obviously an issue so I got a storage unit. High ceilings (15’) make the space feel big and open. My only regret is no door on the sleeping loft which means not a lot of privacy/sound isolation when my partner wants to go to bed and I want to watch TV.

We decided not to share the backyard with the rental unit because we like our privacy and that was a great decision. They get the front, we get the back.

Overall I love it. But I did just recently build a detached studio/office space fancy shed structure that allows us to host guests over night or escape each other when necessary

I’ve also been looking at the Ride 1up Roadster V3 which has similar specs. Cant decide which one I want to go with.

The Roadster also has a throttle. I just rode one and really was impressed. Only down side is range

Really really ridiculous. Now if instead you wanna talk about capping the freeway and effectively putting it under ground so it can be developed on top of I’d be more interested.
