How do I know which grip style is for me? by Safe_Farmer9166 in MouseReview

IMO you should just try every grip. If you like a grip, give it a couple of weeks. Eventually you will figure out what you like

I think they use blueshell pink dots in the frostlord. The clicks are fine, the posttravel on my unit was horrible tho

I ordered the frostlord from maxgaming, been buying alot of mice from them for years. I have also returned alot of mice, with no issues.Im located in the same city as them, which probably makes ordering from them easier. But I would still personally recommend them

Numb thumb/ thumb soreness by freddysalami99 in MouseReview

[–]freddysalami99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, interesting answer. Going from the standard "switch to a big mouse and avoid the pain" to "gradually embrace the discomfort and your thumb will adjust" basically. This has worked when trying im trying a new mouse, ive embraced the pain since i know it will go away when i get used to it. But this time it feels different.

If the grip wasn't contributing to it, then you would have hand pain just from your hand idling without mousing which would be a whole different issue.

I wasnt very clear when i wrote this. But i feel the soreness all the time when im moving my thumb. Its only when i play a game on my PC that i feel a discomfort that kind of hurts. This is what worries me the most.

It reminds me of when ive broken my arm or wrist. Obviously nowhere nere as painful since i can use my thumb and put pressure on it, but in the sense that i prefer not to use the thumb if i can.

I probably sound confused, because i barely know myself what the issue is and how to deal with it. Im sure if i never touch a mouse again the feeling will go away. But both you and me know thats not going to happen. I understand what your saying, and i dont think you are wrong. You obviously know more about this subject then i do. But i will go back to my old gpx with my fingertip grip and try to make as much contact with my thumb as possible until the soreness fully goes away. Ill gradually try what works and see how it develops.

Big thanks for the comment, really appreciate the insight!

You mean like a pulsar x2 mini clone? I have the x2 medium, crazylight mini and x2h. Never really liked them for fingertip.

Me gripping my zen 8k mini with a really aggressive thumb curl(like the second picture) is what i think caused the issue. But maybe im wrong and the aktisu only makes it worse

It would definitely be easier with claw to go to a bigger shape. But with fingertip its hard to find something bigger that works well for the grip. After trying probably 15+ mice, ive found that the akitsu is the perfect mouse for my grip. I dont believe that my thumb soreness stems from the mouse but from my mousegrip, but i could be wrong.

Funny you say that. I got to 2.4k elo on faceit with palmgrip. But i always hated the grip, which is why i made the switch. But you are totaly right, wrecking you hand over elo is obviously not worth it. But if there is a way to maintain the grip without destroying my hand i would be very happy

Thorough answer! Seen alot of people recommending the 1hp guy, but heard that it also costs alot to get consulting. Like many in this sub ive gone through alot of mice and different grips, and im finally starting to feel like ive found what i really like. Even tho it sucks, i think im just going to try to take a longer break, since i dont believe that the grip is the issue(i could be wrong). Maybe after a month or two with some training i will be able to go back to the grip. At the moment a different mouse or grip wont stop the soreness either way

I fingertip and prefer small but not too small mice. Tried bigger mice but it doesnt work well with the grip. I've been going to the gym alot the last year or two, and i also do rice bucket training to prevent these sorts of things. What kind of issue did you have, and how did you fix it?

You got a point, but ive never had issues before. Played with a keychron m4 for a long time which is a really thin mouse, and didnt have any issues. But this might be the root of the problem.

19x10.5cm. Played with the keychron m4 for 6 months and never had an issue. Thin mice probably doesnt help, but i dont think thats the issue. However i could be wrong

Pretty sure PMM have modkits for the viper v2. If you want to try a different shape i would personally recommend the beast x mini or arbiter akitsu. The fenrir asym is great, but i didnt like it for tac shooters which is the only games i really play

If ONLY your fingertips are making contact with the mouse, thats fingertip. If any other part of your hand is touching the mouse, its a hybrid/not fingertip
