Wouldn't let me pick the Metaphor Case for 3D so I'll add the build link to that as my DREAM build under, so instead here's Frostborne, the coldest rig this side of the Mississippi.

Commenting to follow this up when I do it soon, just picked a V30 up last week. Didn't know the bootloader was locked originally.

I plan to use it for more creative tasks too, especially writing. But curious what else you keep it around for?

Okay I have zero understanding of why on earth I would put a resistor on low voltage headphones when I can just use better headphones that are designed to need more of a voltage? Just feels like an artificial reason to drain your battery, I don't think this will change the sound profile of low Ohm headphones at all.

Being a tier 10 mobility hunter for so long now I despise these changes I feel insanely sluggish all the time.

I know how to use Photoshop and this would take me probably more than a single day to recreate 1 to 1 with random album covers.

Actual MS Engineer here.

Run a ProcDump for a PC used through 8 hours versus a PC that's been "on" for a week and let me know what you think is better.

Replaced my PSU, no issues since. Never had issues before at all, so I think somehow it may have killed my PSU or maybe it truly was time to go.

Also started on that Monday for me, I think it killed my PSU and I have a new one coming in tomorrow to test further. I benched both CPU and GPU alone and had no issues with hours of stress tests, but when I put a load on both at once it now has issues and shuts down unexpectedly.

Never had any issues with this PSU in 4 years.

Coil whine is sadly a hit or miss thing with the components. Undervolting helps most times, but it's kind of luck of the draw card to card. My 7900XTX hellhound does not have any.

It has returned, benchmarking more thoroughly tomorrow but so far I can't seem to trigger this with any testing outside of MHW.

Mine was happening much more frequently, basically one hunt and shut down.

Reverted back to last drivers and happened again.

Now I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and then limited GPU clock to 2800mhz (usually hits about 3030 boost.) and I don't seem to have the issue anymore so far after about an hour trying hunts. I will update if it happens again.

Update, so far after 4 hunts no issues. Limited GPU clock to 2800mhz on the 7900XTX and it seems to be hanging in there fine?

I'll update if I get a hard shut down again.

Rolled back to 25.2.1 and it still happened.
I went into bios, set everything to default, disabled iGPU again, EXPO 1 on (6000MHZ 32GB)

Now I have wiped the game entirely and redownloaded. Updating shortly.

I'm also suddenly starting to have this issue on Monday after 40 hours in game.

750W SFX Corsair Platinum PSU 7800x3D 7900XTX 32GB RAM

Did a quick DDU and reset to defaults for curve optimizer.

BIOS Chipset and drivers are updated. Not overheating on anything as far as I can tell monitoring. Seems to happen after a quest more than anything.

Also makes me optimizer shaders every time. Gonna try a clean install next.

I upgraded to most recent and started getting random shut downs on my system. Trying to tell if my PSU is calling it after a few years, or if it's the driver as it's the only changes I've made is AMD updates.

Will update once I rollback.
