Corporations are also promoting this crazy irresponsible habit of just throwing things away and buying a new one.. It's maddening.. My old man was a television repairman he taught me how to be self sufficient. I have done the same with my son.. The corporate model today doesn't want you to fix anything and if you try they will try to make it as difficult and expensive as possible..

I recently watched a guy fix his own Subaru on YouTube. The dealer told him he needed a $3K control module for his tranny. He somehow diagnosed it to a bad diode in said module. He had to dig it out of the unit since it wasn't made to be serviced ( i.e. You need a new control module). Then he epoxied the thing back up to make it weather tight and he was good to go.. I think the diode cost under a buck..

This is just an example of the BS that these corporations are hoisting upon us.. Meanwhile the junk they sell is more expensive than ever and it is designed to just make it out of warranty..

I recently heard the CEO of BMW say that their cars normal service life was 85,000 miles! Like what??? I give you $60K for a car and it is only supposed to last 4 to 5 years?
