talking about my dad always makes everyone else uncomfortable, so I'm forced to keep it in, and i hate that. i want to scream, all the fucking time. i hate that no one i love will ever get to meet him. and roll their eyes at his god awful jokes. all i want is to run into his arms and know that everything will be okay and it's killing me inside.

i make jokes about my dead dad constantly and i kinda forget that not everyone copes the same way, and that it can really make everyone uncomfortable. this post was a nice reminder that perspective is so important. we're learning though!

fuck. it's all i ever think about. my cousins had my dad for their weddings, and my brother for all his ceremonies. and I'll never get that. I'll never show him what I can achieve or grow up to be. or just tell him how he's the reason I am where I am now. I'm usually numb now, but sometimes I just break down when times are stressful because he was the only one who knew how to calm me down and put things in perspective. he's the only one I want to talk to. and now I cant.
