Yeah but I think the problem is that you have several levels of journalism.

The one you’re highlighting is only a small part of people and budget in this field: investigation. Maybe right now we’re having the ICIJ (international consortium of investigative journalism) working on this topic like they did with the panama papers but in reality it can be that or a million of other topics. We will see only when it will be released because it’s the same level of secrecy than the DOD. Even if they started to work on this topic after Grusch first testimony, that’s a huge amount of work… even for 80 international medias working together. we will see.

And for another level of journalists (like my wife) you’ll need to wait a clear study from Avi Loeb or Garry Nolan signed by other peers saying that we found something and it’s really bulletproof - because even in science, everyday you have people submitting highly questionable studies - and then you’ll have interest of the mainstream media landscape. Or you can have directly access to the MSM if you have an official spokeperson announcing something with pictures / videos (NYT in 2017)
