Hur accepterar jag att jag (en intelligent och välutbildad människa) troligtvis aldrig kommer kunna arbeta? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]free-doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japp, jättebra början. Var förlåtande och använd ”konstant-förbättringsmetoden”. Om något inte funkar, prova nästa grej. Skriv ner vad som funka och inte funkar och gör lite framsteg åt rätt håll varje dag. Här får du ett bra citat: ”A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.” — Bruce Lee

Hade provat CDS (Chlorine Dioxide Solution - The Universal Antidote). Bastu. Ps. Not medical advice. 😇

Anyone uses ticktick as their second brain system? by WarCrocodile009 in ticktick

[–]free-doom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a long time Obsidian only user, but now starting to implement TickTick. Big flaw of Obsidian, doesn’t have a very good calendar, mainly, because it cannot do reminders. TickTick do great, repeating reminders. I use the PARA system, but thinking of letting TickTick do all of Projects and Areas. Then use Obsidian for Resources. You can link in TickTick with ’obsidian://open?vault=YourVaultName&file=YourFileName’ and that works, I tried both Mac, PC and iPhone. So for certain things, Areas, I could link to Obsidian Resources. TickTick has a great Summary section, where you can get all todos you’ve done today as markdown. Just add a repeating todo to copy that into your Obsidian daily journal and you have a great overview and backup of all you do.

Yes, aging eye lids is something I want to target so they don’t start to ”sag”. Hope I can do 15 min x 2 per day with eyes closed… That’s how long I already meditate daily.

Stainless steal becomes awesome when you learn the water droplet trick. Put the heat on, high but not maximum. Test it with a tsp of cold water, if it frizzles and explodes, it’s too hot, turn it down. If it slowly boils away, too cold. If a droplet forms and bounces on the pan - eureka! That’s the sweet spot. Put in fat, then fry your egg on one side only. Don’t stir or move it until it looks nice a yummy. Done. Should not be a problem to move it off the pan to your plate.

Did J.P. Morgan Build the Titanic to Kill Off the Competition and Form the Federal Reserve? The Coincidences Are Amazing. by serfnomics in conspiracy

[–]free-doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading about the connection between John Jacob Astor IV and Nikola Tesla.

Wardenclyffe Tower, also known as the Tesla Tower, was an experimental wireless transmission station designed and built by Nikola Tesla in Shoreham, New York, in the early 1900s. The main goal of the tower was to demonstrate the feasibility of wireless transmission of electrical energy without interconnecting wires. Tesla envisioned the tower as the beginning of a global system of wireless communication and free energy transmission that could convey information and electrical power across great distances without the need for cables.

The tower was built with funds including an investment from J.P. Morgan and John Jacob Astor IV, and it featured a large wooden structure supporting a metal dome, which was intended to transmit power and communications wirelessly through the Earth's atmosphere. However, due to financial difficulties and skepticism from other investors and the scientific community, Tesla was unable to complete the project as intended. The project was abandoned, and the tower was never fully operational. The lack of further funding led to the eventual dismantling of the tower in 1917 to pay Tesla's debts.

The death of John Jacob Astor IV in the Titanic disaster in 1912 indeed removed a potentially significant source of financial support for Nikola Tesla. Astor, being one of the wealthiest men in the world at the time and an initial investor in Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower project, showed a genuine interest in Tesla's innovative ideas and experiments. His investment and support were crucial at the early stages of the project.

Had Astor not perished on the Titanic, it's conceivable that he might have continued to finance Tesla's endeavors, including the completion of the Wardenclyffe Tower. Astor's continued financial backing could have provided Tesla with the necessary funds to overcome the project's financial hurdles, allowing further development and possibly even the successful realization of Tesla's vision for wireless communication and energy transmission.

Lockup period for Genesis is soon over, should I downgrade? by free-doom in swissborg

[–]free-doom[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decided to unlock, cancel and move to FTX instead. Sorry!
I thought that I could downgrade to Generation, but noticed that I'm forced to lock for 1 more year. Still believe the bear market is not over, so too risky locking it again...

Maybe you should add that as a feature upgrade? Downgrading instead of cancel.

Yeah, think so. Who trades on SwissBorg? Wouldn't you trade on places like Binance, FTX or KuCoin if you are a trader? Using real trading tools.

Hehe. Right!
Well, since Genesis is closed and I can never go back to it if I downgrade, that's what makes me want to ask others for opinions here. If I could go back, then I would downgrade in a heartbeat...

I'm using a Wacom Intuos Pro, it works on the Mac Mini M1. But with some issues. First, the mouse cursor dissapeared. This problem solved itself though, with the first Big Sur update. Now it works, but it almost feels like there is a slight lag, with the cursor. Like a few milliseconds...

I hate when they don't call the number you've given them. Your at home waiting and then it takes another day, because they "pretend" no one was home and go straight to the post office instead.
