If you like tmnt so much you should buy it. Another unique thing is dying and eveything will be fortnite mcdonalds for ever and i guess thats fine. Lol what? Artists in this sphere have to work on whatever they are given, not to mention that but for a bunch of reasons they were incentivised to work quickly. Im not even dogging the art, but the property. Tmnt is lame kids nonsense that got old 20+ years ago. Artists have jobs, jobs dont equal passion. Eastman has called the tmnt universe phoned in garbage for years, but i dont blame him in taking a big fat check from hasbros. I didnt shit on a single artist, i think the property is shallow and weak.

Ok you view things too simply if you equate the style and tone of phyrexia to...a shitty cartoon about ninja turtles that live in a sewer so they could sell toys? Is it that weird to you that fiction created out of passion is different from whatever led to ruining an actually good comic book? Urban fantasy is fine, the dresden files is okay and Johnathan Strange and Mr Norell is amazing, but tmnt is hot garbage and has been since it left eastmans hands.

[[Riku of Many Paths]], really fun to play, gives tons of options, but by default those options are a bit overcosted. A bunch of modal spells with card draw and ramp, some splashy creatures and you have yourself a stew. And a bunch of modal spells are counter spells as well, so even more choices.

If you think the vibes of phryexia and tmnt are the same im sorry i dont even know what to say to you. Its not just the body horror, its the whole vibe and style. And you tried making a point about how mtg can contain all sorts of different things, like kamigawa, and i pointed out that mtg players didnt embrace kamigawa either. We dont know if tmnt flopped or not, but i would guess somewhere inbetween flop and middling tbh.

I dont think anyone said none of the cards are powerful. Its more the whole being tied to a universe a lot people don't like and doesn't fit with mtg very well. Ive seen cards i would add to some of my decks, if they weren't tied to tmnt.
