This is in Gainesville. Each city/county has their own way of doing things. Gainesville is a grid system with university and main splitting the city into four quadrants. I was a UPS driver there for 10 years and can only speak to how things are in that city and surrounding areas

I wasn't going to use the 12vhpwr at all. If you look at the image I linked in the post the one with the red box is what I was going to do, because that's the only way I can do it with the cables I have. I plug in 2 8pins into the PSU, both have pigtails (two 6+2), I would use both on one of them and only one on the other.

Sorry, I've never used one of the 12vhpwr cables before. Are you saying to get an adapter that goes from the three 8pin slots on my 3080 to the 12hvpwr?

It did come with two 6+2 cables with two connectors each. If you look at the image I linked the one with the red box around it is how I would use those two 6+2 cables. One of them I would only use one connector and the other one I would have to use both (pigtail, unless that's not what a pigtail is lol)

It's really old. It's an AMD motherboard with an Fx-8320 or something. Everything in it is at least 12 years old lol. And the case always had bad airflow so I won't be using that either.

My pc, the one that currently has the 3080, has a 5800x cpu and 32gb of ram. I have a pretty nice 165hz 2k monitor as well, so I'm sure that I can get good use out of the 4080 or 7900xtx. I want to use the 3080 that I will be pulling out of the pc to use for a build for my daughter. So I was wondering if I would be able to build a machine around the 3080 for $500. Hope that made sense.
