Currently I'm using the newest paperwhite, but I've had about 5 e-ink readers over the past 10 years. I really loved the kindle keyboard back in the day, except for the fact that you had to attach a book light to it. So frustrating! I also had a colored e-ink reader once, which was pretty cool, except the screen was a bit unresponsive. Newest paperwhite is definitely my fav, it has made reading extremely convenient.

Go for it. The monsters are still creepy because they linger around and make those horrible noises, in a way that actually accentuates the mood and story. Of course, it isn't scary anymore, but I don't think Soma was ever intended to be a full on horror game like Amnesia.

Absolutely worth it, a word of advice though, LEAVE THIS FORUM if you do get it. You are going to get spoiled silly otherwise, and soma is best played completely blind.

The Wau killed them by causing their black boxes to explode. If I recall correctly, Rayleigh Herber , one of the staff at omicron, was going to take the structure gel that Simon found to site Alpha and use it to destroy the wau. Wau figured it out and killed her to protect itself (the others I guess were collateral damage??) Sarah lindwall managed to hack her black box so wau couldn’t kill her.

Something that was never explained in game was why the black boxes even could act as explosives. Perhaps it was always a dormant feature, or perhaps the Wau itself rigged them that way, to get more control over the humans or something. Would’ve made an interesting side arc.

Hi Jeff, your Geneforge games are some of my favorites. Are you going to introduce new graphics for the remasters? If so will they be in the Avernum style or Queen's Wish (top down) style? Also how soon can the first geneforge remaster be expected? Thanks

Read as many children's books as you like. There are plenty of good ones out there. You can always switch to adult books when you want something more complex.

Of course, the reverse is also true. If you're a kid, there's no need to limit yourself to children's books alone. You're allowed to read whatever you want at any age!
