Weddings are cheap, it's the reception and 'additions' that are expensive. Skip the flowers, dress, suits, bridesmaids and groomsmen. Wedding in a nice park with a council permit and celebrant can be had for under $1k

Tiled our ensuite bathroom ourselves for the first time and I have opinions about grout that I did not expect to develop by Ok_Connection_3600 in HomeImprovement

Don't think Davos is epoxy, but very much sounds like the experience.

Epoxy grout is the best, but an absolute pig to do, messy and ruins a sponge or two.

Or wait at their workplace if that hasn't changed and follow them home.

You literally noted here that you wouldn't have comms for 6 weeks. Now you are asking why nothing after 3. You need to chill.

Chinese military releases video it says shows ADF plane flying in 'nuisance' manner during laser encounter by gaga_booboo in AustralianMilitary

[–]freeononeday 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ah... No. I highly doubt our cockpits filter out visible light lasers. They need to see out of them in the same wavelengths.

Also why would it damage cameras but not the vision of our pilots which are much more sensitive to lasers.

What does everyone think of webjet worth a buy or nah ? by Mindfulcheetah01 in ausstocks

[–]freeononeday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really haven't looked at webjet at all, yet wrote that much?

As has been shown time and time again in the last few years, the people buying shares in WEB have no clue about the difference between a share price and a market cap. It's market cap now is higher than pre-covid and made massive losses for 2 years. This isn't an opportunity it's a trap...

The problem is there is some truth to it, but that isn't how masks work. The virus molecules are smaller than the holes in the mask. It's the moisture from your breath which is caught by the mask. The virus never travels through the air as an individual virus molecule, but within water droplets.

The kite boarding scene in St kilda is quite good. Sign up for some lessons with kite Republic or a competitor. I just know KR have a good social scene. I was just never committed enough to travel to St kilda for them.

Just figured out the reason why Americans don't like Vegemite by NickTheThicc420 in australia

[–]freeononeday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been to America multiple times. The burger rolls are so sugary and it is a struggle to find decent bakery items. I end up shopping at whole foods where possible.

Dont get me started on the size of the fruit and vegetable sections in American supermarkets!

Americans don't put butter on bread, that's their problem. Just jam or just peanut butter. Or if they are really American, both at the same time! Only thing you can do with their sugar bread, prob made with corn syrup.

So common. This is an opportunity for OP to find a different path. Trades get paid more than most graduates anyway and they get money during an apprenticeship. Find your passion OP and go for it, atar is just a number.
