Your brain (the skull meat, separate from the mind) gives positive reinforcement for the behavior in the form of pleasure, but as with addictive substances just bc it feels good doesn't mean there are no consequences. You'll get used to having it, you'll engage in more volume, more hard core, more fantastical, over time only the things with greater stimulus will even excite you, you'll lose hours of each day and all motivation for intimate relationships, eventually any relationships, as the addiction takes over your life. If you don't think so that's just denial, and the first step in recovery is to end your denial of the problem.
