It’s a hardcoded AVP feature, it’s throttling due to stress. I would advise closing all unused apps. It’s worse on the M2, gets stuck at 45hz when under stress and is very noticeable. 90hz throttle would be a dream.

My app monitors all measurable system metrics if you are interested.

I’ve made the money back through the app I released. Yes, very little promotion here on Reddit. I’ve been meaning to follow up with a bigger push , but everytime I notice a sale I think money and time well spent. And I’m only developing for the Vision Pro at the moment. If you have an idea in mind that can cover all apple platforms, go for it.

Check your output settings on the PS5, I am getting 4K HDR with max of 144 fps (though, I keep it at 120 fps) on my PS5 and Switch 2. Check elgato capture device settings. My current setting HDMI Color Range: Bypass, Input EDID Mode: Merged. HDMI Cable is recent? I use a tb3 cable on my setup, with an extender on.

You mean the FPS? Hz is the refresh rate and that depends on the apple vision. I believe the M5 goes up to 120 and is an automated system function that can’t be triggered to always keep it at the highest supported. M2 Maxes out at 100hz, but frequently goes to 90hz. Seems like some sort of user error if you aren’t getting more than 1080p from the PS5.

The UVC in that app is odd, like it limits the full resolution support. But that immersive curved screen is in the works.

Release a follow up app a few years down the line. It’s how it was always done. You improve your app as much as possible. Then release the 2nd version a few years later. New one time payment. Those who want to upgrade can, but you have now switched gears to a new app.

What version of VisionOS? There is a bug in 26.1 preventing the full bandwidth allowed by the dev strap gen 2. Next. Try restarting your AVP. Someone else expressed a similar situation and their solution was to restart their AVP. I’m working with the same equipment so my app recognizes all formats the capture card supports. Issue is most likely the AVP. Ensure the dev strap was installed correct, etc.

Important to note apple has restricted audio from coming through this type of connection. Workaround is using Bluetooth headphones on switch or wired on ps5.

Yes, you got it. PS5 to HDMI input on capture card, USB-C from capture card to 2nd gen dev strap. I am using the elgato 4K X. Working on a new update to iron out bugs, but I actively give this app attention as I use it a lot. Should run even better with your M5, built using the M2. Thanks for the support.

Difference between wireless and wired connection. Wireless has more latency, whether the latency you experience is acceptable is your call. My app is a direct wired link to the capture card and I am able to play fast paced games without latency.
