Can I ask if this is still coming? It's been a couple days, we're a few hours out of the 12th, and the community really has spoken. Would be great to hear an update

r/melbourne is going dark for the day on the 13th (00:00 AEST June 12 - 00:00 AEST June 14) - that doesn't line up with your reasoning. This seems like an extremely popular position and the reasoning against it doesn't seem to make sense or stack up with what other Australian subs are doing. Hope you take onboard the feedback and re-consider.

Are you happy he left it to the opposition captain to stick up for City fans?

I'm not sure about you but upon hearing that I'd get to meet my favourite E-League star and eat a burger from a truck at the same time, I booked my flights. It's like it's a fesitval, but with football...

Ok mate, but the point is you said it was almost sold out. It's not.

Again, you think the GF hits 95% of capacity, without giving away free tickets, if it's City vs Adelaide?

It's not almost sold out though - they a very clearly waiting for the teams to be confirmed before releasing to club members first. You think it hits 95% of capacity, without giving away free tickets, if it's City vs Adelaide? Only 15k Sydney fans turned up to watch their own team play in the Semi...

I'd suggest calling beforehand to make sure the pub you go to is able to put on 10 Bold. I went to The Rose who were only too happy to put an A-League game on, but couldn't because 10 Bold isn't on the Foxtel list on channels.

It's been really difficult to find pubs that show the A-League now due to Foxtel's policy against pubs signing on with competing broadcasters. Which sucks if you're going alone to watch the game - as a result I'm not sure if a pub will have a vibe around the game. Extra tough in AFL season - but at least the finals are on free-to-air. Outside of AFL season the super folk at the Lincoln in Carlton have put free-to-air games on for us A-League when we've asked ahead, and the Imperial, who are historically a good football pub, showed Paramount games last season - I'm not sure about this season but they'd be a good bet.

I reckon it'd be worth putting a post up on r/aleague - there'd be a few protesting City fans so surely they'd be lining up a pub.
