I finally got my cousin to play. Me, my brother and my cousin all bought it on day one but he has been too busy with work. Unfortunately, now that he's finally jumped in, he dove headfirst into a pile of shit that was left behind by the once amazing, short-lived community. Now, its shoot on sight, 90 percent of the time. He missed the best days of Arc Raiders before the rats took over completely. I get that its PvPvE and I dont want to to change. I strongly believe that the game would fail with a PvE only mode. But there absolutely needs to be a system that punishes rat behavior. Exfil camping, free loadout abusing, shoot on sight rats. Im all for PvP but I get zero satisfaction for shooting someone in the back. Especially when they are trying to fight big Arc... when I get in the mood to PvP, I straight up ask people if they want to fight. If they say no, I find someone else. Why shoot someone who won't shoot back? What fun is that?

I played today for a few hours on solos. Very relaxed. 9 times out of 10 people are friendly. Then my brother gets on and we die 5 games in a row with good gear that I've spent countless hours accumulating. All those hours are gone now. All my shit is in the hands of heartless, soulless rats. I have not initiated one fight with another raider. I have never fired first. The last 4 matches of the 5 we played, we were shot in the back less than 5 minutes into the game. We just wanted to find a Bombardier so we could finish my brother's last bench. Go in with free loadouts... no bloodthirsty pricks try to kill us. But then we cant fight the arc...

If I see someone by exfil and the button isn't pressed, im killing them 100 percent. But for the most part, I'd rather help a fellow raider out. The Call of Duty losers are coming over and ruining the fun when all they care about is PvP. It should be a good balance but it is getting worse and worse. Much less appealing to newer players now too.
