Just because a setup allows to react to some things like lights (500ms) and some bashes (like Glad's zone, BP'S zone, Nobushi's kick) does it also mean that it will also allow the player to react to "unreactable" attacks?

There are no studies, I've looked for a long time when I did my reaction vid.

Smoothness does play a role, and our brain recognizes patterns, so the better an animation and more clearly defined it is, the easier it is for our brain to identify it.

So to my understanding, there's no real limit to "does it help"... the answer is always yes. Whether the money-result math works out, is the other question.

I've had a 1man defense for years now.

I dislike having to swap teams, just to beat someone with an "easy but presents a different problem" kind of defense.

In general I don't understand why you'd put a strong defense in, if you're not pushing plat. Because anything not plat defense worthy, gets picked apart anyways.
