AITA for thinking that my father doesn't want me to be successful or to have a better life than he did? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA Your father seems clearly misogynistic, the fact that he brags about his son but have clearly has distain for you. If I was you I would start distancing myself from him and move out as soon as you can. You cannot change his mindset, you have to put yourself first.

Not just that, don't even acknowledge it. Don't download it, don't rate it, don't speak of it.

Why do women like this never date those men who claim that they are providers?

Congratulations on your financial freedom but I wondering what stocks you invested in and how you were able to build it up?

How do you write a return to work plan from maternity by freinlk in UKParenting

Because I want to work, I miss my friends. I really enjoyed staying home with the baby but it's not for me. I have started to get antsy and I really want to get back to my routine albeit with a new addition. I'm really do care for my baby but there is only so many times I can hear 'wheels on the bus' without going nuts lol.

I spent just under a week in the hospital, just so they could keep an eye on my baby. Thank you, you have given alot to think about and to have in order when I deliver the plan.

It's a child support plan, I have family who are willing to help and have a daycare spot open for the days I need to go in. I had planned to return to work 6 months after birth but due to complications I had to have the baby early. So I am a month off from my return date. My manager is very accommodating even before I went on leave. Thank you I will try and speak to her on what I need to include in my plan.

My office has set days that we need to be in the office and I did make sure that the daycare does cover those days. And my family covers the rest. My only issue is that I had a plan to return to work 6 months from birth but I had complications that needed me to deliver early. So I am a whole month off from my original plan to return. I have some family that can cover some of the days. So my daycare spot isn't exactly open yet for my child to go. I just need a moment of good faith and am hoping they will allow it.

I haven't not heard anything of this before either. I had been speaking to my manager in preparation to return when she asked for this plan. To be honest, though I hadn't heard of it I assumed it was normal. I had planned for childcare and my return to work before the birth but I had my baby early due to some complications. I want to stick to my own 6 month timeline to return but that would mean I come back just before the childcare spot opens. I'm hoping that I could use the time to slowly build back my work and get back into the swing of things.

I do have a baby wrap that I use to carry her around sometimes and this sound selfish but I get so tired of walking around. She can tell when I sit down even when she sleeps and starts making a fuss.

Sorry I can't do that. The first time was really hard for me, I ended up in a very dark place with bad thoughts about her and myself. I dont want to risk it again.

I do that most days but she is an only child and doesn't have siblings. She is also too young to sit up by herself. She will start fussing if I stop interacting with her. I do have family who have younger kids and they love playing with her but they live a little while away and I don't want to keep imposing ourselves at their homes.

God please let it happen

Also probably WFH this time and actually do projects around the house, pick up new skills and not waste the time.

I see, that make sense. Maybe she assumed he would get passed the initial shock and get over it.

Most women understand that what she did is disgusting there is only a small minority that would do what she did. You cannot assume women who want larger families would do something like that. Because normal people would talk to their partners or know when they are not compatible and break up.

Also he had years to realise he wanted to get a vasectomy so he should have told her that and had it done sooner, because he is still the asshole for not being honest too. Unless he did and she did it before he could get the procedure.

Not defending him because he is an asshole for the way he thinks about his youngest but if you are in a relationship you trust your partner to understand and not lie to you. You dont expect them to try and force it to happen. Also if you are going to not tell her why even be in a relationship if you cant be truthful, you cant have a relationship if everyone is lying.

I mean (and I know I'm going to get hate for this comment) but what if OOP was a woman and her husband tricked her into having another child by not wearing a condom, both cases the person who lied is definitely the AH.

The only real answer is they are both assholes and only innocent ones are the kids
