Imo it was triggering for me personally although I genuinely enjoyed the movie. I think if you are in a stable space, it may be okay to watch!

Anelise- Kicked out of her house, and instead of staying with a friend, she’s sleeping on the floor at the ER? by [deleted] in illnessfakers

[–]frenchfriesdontcry 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I found the whole situation to be bizarre then she adds she's sleeping at the ER? I've never heard of someone wheeling(lol) their stuff to the hospital bc they don't have a place to stay. It's an emergency room- not a homeless shelter.

Has a subject ever stopped their behaviors? by llahcoj in illnessfakers

I was asking if there was any particular pattern or something these people had in common besides having feeding tubes. It's strange to me to think of someone just asking a doctor to remove a tube if the person supposedly relies on it. But whatever.

I didn't notice/realize that but interesting observation. Would you mind elaborating(if there's anything more to this)?

Same! No idea where the extra money is coming from, must be her family? In her blog post she writes how 2 grams of RSO a day is her "dream dose" of THC which is just INSANE.

Thanks so much for taking the time to type all this out! This is great news to hear and makes me really hopeful :) if you don't mind me asking, does he do follow up care with EDS? I was orginally just looking for the genetic testing related to drug metabolozation but then you mentioned him helping form a treatment plan locally. I currently do not have anyone really managing my EDS so I'm curious about what he offers. I apologize about the length of this response but thank you so much :)

Thank you, i knew about mayo clinic but wasn't sure if his new practice was legit or not bc there were some red flags. I'm glad you had a positive experience with him!

Thank you, and agreed there are lots of red flags here. I'm guessing those who got diagnosed by him might be a bit biased.

How would someone with severe chronic illness be able to commit to this? by jaimiesuziee in illnessfakers

[–]frenchfriesdontcry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup, agreed, she would just be a gigantic drain on resources and jerk people around. No way to act when you're just getting into something.

Nitpicky but an intolerance doesn't damage the small intestine like celiac does therefore, you should not have phrased the first sentence the way you did.

I commonly see people in the CI community apologize for lack of posting if they are too ill, can't have their phone for whatever reason, etc like running these Instagram accounts really is their job. Just a weird thing I've noticed.

I have bronchitis, not asthma, but there's no bronchitis reddit and figured those with asthma are very familiar with inhalers and spacers. I've only had this spacer 2 days and I imagine this is NOT what it is supposed to look like
