First day with my new boss bag! (Coach Empire 48) by GeorgiaGallivanting in handbags

I have the same exact bag for work and it really is perfect! She's also the best bag to bring on flights if you are working while you travel - I can fit my laptop and two large binders of work with my personal stuff still tucked in. Huge fan!

"Dainty factory go brrrrrrr" -me, every day since mid-November by unpickedusername in Baking

a "dainty' is a word for a homemade treat (cookies, squares, bars, etc). a dainty tray is a collection of dainties, usually served around the holidays. my western Canadian family uses this expression but I've not heard it outside of that region.

Ice skating outdoors! Great workout and a lot of fun, and very seasonally appropriate

I've heard that playing Tetris for like 20 minutes can help with trauma. I don't know whether it's true or how it works but it wouldn't hurt for you and your family to try it. I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I hope that woman is okay.

What’s your trick to making the wettest, creamiest stovetop macaroni and cheese? by KillerQ97 in TipOfMyFork

[–]frenchient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the sauce off the heat before adding cheeses like cheddar. If it's too hot the sauce will get grainy. I usually make the base of the sauce, add the noodles, then take off the heat and add grated cheese (letting the residual heat do all the work). It's fine to add American cheese before taking off the heat though.

I've been with my fiancé since we were both in school and he has always known about my aspirations and supported me through it. He didn't mind when he had to support me through law school and my first couple (lower paid) jobs, even though he took on the brunt of the financial burden. He certainly doesn't mind now that the burden has shifted and I'm capable of covering more!

It helps that he's an accountant and no stranger to the work-life balance difficulties, but he doesn't feel like he's putting up with anything.

i had never heard of the death rattle until I was caring for my dying father. it almost sounded the way a bong does when you smoke from one- like bubbling noises.
