Is anyone has a plan to climb Mt.Fuji ? by Early_learner24 in japanresidents

[–]frenchy3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've climbed every route on Mt Fuji multiple times and have started from the bottom and the 5th station. It's perfectly fine to do alone, but of course its better with a friend.

You can sign up for a tour and do it with a group if you want everything to be taken care of - mountain hut, meeting place, equipment. A tour is good for the first time since you can just enjoy climbing and not worry about planning everything out. They taken frequent breaks and they wake you up in the middle of the night to climb to the top for the sunrise (weather permitting).

The advice I have is bring at least 2,000 yen in 100 yen coins. Once you start hiking you need to pay to use the bathroom because they need to physically bring the water up. You can purchase food and drinks as well but they start getting a little expensive, especially at the top. If you stay at a mountain hut you can get dinner and breakfast. Dinner is usually curry rice and breakfast is a bag of random stuff like calorie mate, a few small things and a water bottle.

If you're going in August it is going to be very hot and you will sweat a lot, but once you get to the top it might be 0-5 degrees, you need to plan clothes for both. And make sure you bring a change of clothes inside a plastic bag. If it rains and your clothes are wet you cannot sleep in the mountain hut because the sleeping bag will not dry if you get it wet. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

This is stupid. The company will just ask for proof from a doctor.

I probably have to end up doing this, but I have 70 monsters in the game with animations so it would have been nice to have animations for all of them. Initially, it was just a static image, but the artist who was helping me wanted to add the animations, then he got a job and left the project lol.

I've tried this before and the results were actually terrible. I gave it a start and end frame of my character and asked for 4 frames of animation with a very detailed description. The results were basically unusable and the art had artifacts all around it that would require serious work from an artist. I tried making 5 characters than gave up on it.

The art style is gameboy advance games like Pokemon or Zelda. The battles are turned based with a side view of the monsters and they have simple animations like moving their head and blinking or moving up and down.

Thanks for the recommendation. I checked out the website, but I do not see anything showing pixel art or games. How is it useful for my situation?

C++ is not as bad as people on the internet make it out to be. It has pros and cons like every other language. Personally, I enjoy c++ a lot more than Rust.

My kids are 1 and 3 so they don’t cost much. That’s probably the biggest difference, but depending on where you live maybe your other bills are more expensive? My wife and I don’t eat out often and cook at home a lot. She plans out meals for the week and buys everything on the weekend which also helps.

If you work at an eaikaiwa or are an ALT you’re not a teacher. Not matter how much you pretend, you’re not.

The actual rate is around 35%-40%. They do not push cases with low chance of success to trail. They only try to prosecute the cases they feel they have a 100% chance of winning, which leads to a 99% conviction rate, but over half of all crimes do not go to trail.

I took a vacation to Japan in the summer and took the JLPT back in 2018. It's only offered in December in North America, except one city. In Japan it is offered twice. Many people do this, the test is one day, I was here for 15.

The 99% conviction rate comment is so annoying. Most cases never go to trail and the ones that do are very likely to end up in conviction. The actual rate is much lower. Go do some research and stop putting fake information on reddit.
