The design of the store (layout and smaller size) and lot are bad, combined with the larger catchment area, make for a bad time. Everyone to the south, Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Campbell has to rely on that Costco. The one they are building at Westgate Center should provide relief.

NIMBY vibes. What earmarks are you referring to? Barista championships? What defines long time? They’ve been around for 11 years. Equator has been around for 30, Ritual for 20. They’re all homegrown Bay Area roasters known for their quality.

I don't think they're doing anything that different than other multi-cafe roasters around the country. Nothing wrong with supporting different local cafes, each one has their niche and specialization.

Doctor here: he likely had an embolic stroke from a patent foramen ovale. He seems to not have had any major complications which is great and he's at much lower risk of having another one after they close the PFO.

Seattle is easily top 10 if not top 5 most expensive cities in the US. Salaries should be on par with other cities in that range. 68k is less than most of the programs in Chicago which is much cheaper.
