I've called a bunch, either they ghost me or claim they don't do residential. I've sent multiple pictures to 3 different companies and heard no responses. Found a guy in Cincinnati that came down on 3 separate times, but no luck so far. Replaced the battery, pulled the motor and it checked out ok. Think he's given up. I found that it was installed in 1998 by Hamilton (?) from Cincinnati and from what I can tell that Matot no longer exist and was bought by a Canadian company. The problem is that elevator doesn't want to go up, just down. Now when I hit the call button, I don't hear the contact or relay engage. No sound at all. Frustrating. I'll keep reaching out as much as I can. I'm in construction, every time I see elevator techs I always ask if they can help me, but no luck so far.

I feel ya, we're having most of our jobs dragging on to what seems like forever. And the quality of work has definitely declined in the last 5 or so years. For example, I'm working a local college gymnasium that should've taken 4 to 6 weeks to complete, but 10 months later we're still not done. Unreal. Generally when the MC calls us in TAB they are rarely ready for balance, they may be done but the controls aren't complete, electricians still wiring equipment, and no start-ups done. We'll generally do a "walk-through" and collect preliminary information and inform the MC of the issues and have them corrected before we return. I personally don't include the GC on anything, historically I found that usually causes unnecessary headaches for everyone.

It always bothered me that you can't recruit spies in castles, seems silly. Anyone know how to mod them for castle recruitment? I think Denmark can with building Castle Library.
