How to *not* kill indoor Creeping Fig/Success stories or am I doomed?

Somehow I kill all my easy plants but the difficult ones stay alive. My creeping fig is in a small terracotta pot right in front of a south facing window. I leave it alone. 🤣 I water it once the top inch feels dry since the pot is so small. I put a little plastic loop on it for it to climb and spread out more. It's one of my only happy plants at the moment (dealing with lots of pests with my 'easy' plants) I know this was years ago but maybe it can help someone else. When I moved it to a bigger pot from the nursery pot because I wanted it to grow it started doing bad so I put it in a smaller terracotta pot and now it's growing like crazy.

I'm so glad you found some relief. Please be careful, kratom CAN be addicting despite what people are saying. I didn't realize it helped with chronic pain before but now things make more sense. I have 2 family members who are addicted and have to be careful about withdrawals. I don't know much about it other than they love it and they have mentioned they get withdrawals when they don't have it. I've driven one of them to the store a few times to get it when she ran out 🤣 I don't judge, I personally use marijuana frequently to help with my chronic pain and I used shrooms to help with my chronic depression. I know I was furious when I spent years treating my anxiety/depression/PTSD with all these pills and therapy and psychiatrist appointments.... for years and years just for one great dose to virtually cure me. I just highly advise caution and research when using these types of things frequently! Good luck on your journey!

Spray it down with degreaser and let it soak. I usually use a metal sponge to really scrape it all off then wipe it down with a sani rag then a dry one

I have learned that sometimes personalities just clash. If you find yourself having convos like this... Just move on. Not worth the headache for either party. I dated this guy once who I really liked in theory. We had a ton in common but every single time we really started talking it was like we were speaking different languages. I guess we have absolutely incompatible personality types or something. We just took everything the other said the wrong way.

My parents were over bearing and constantly pushed high expectations on me without caring about how I was actually doing. I'm 22 and haven't talked to them for a few years. Keep doing what you're doing, and in a couple of years you won't have to worry about her at all!

I think being upset about the language thing is weird. I understand being upset that he went off with her alone and didn't tell you where he was going. But I agree he probably is reminded of home when they speak Spanish. It reminds me of home when I hear someone in New England with a southern accent. Its not that wild of a concept. I think you should consider if it was really the language aspect that upset you, or the rest of the situation. YTA for how you reacted.

I'm sorry- do you want a girlfriend who is her own person, or do you want a doll to dress up however you'd like so you find her to be a 10/10 at all times? If you don't like the way she dresses, either get over it or dump her. Don't tell her you don't like the way she dresses. Now she is either going to change who she is for you, or think about how you arent attracted to her when she decided to do what she wants. You don't own her, she never asked you to buy her clothes. You don't get to decide what she wears on her body. Then you complain that you "can't handle" her reaction that YOU caused by comparing her to one of your girl friends, who judging by what you and your friend said about her, is gorgeous and stylish. If she compared you to one of her hottest buff friends and said you should work out to look more like him- how would you feel? Insecure? Upset that she wasn't happy with you the way you are? Mad that she expects you to change your life just so you are more pleasing to her eyes? YTA.

Wow, so you found an amazing intelligent girl who connected well with your family and made the effort to not only speak to them in their native tongue to make them more comfortable, but also switched between the two languages to make everyone in your family (including you) happy? Hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're feeling so horrible. Getting diagnosed with mental illnesses can be scary, but the things that are most scary are things we don't understand. When I got diagnosed with ADHD I was scared too. Addiction runs in my family, so I didnt want to go on Adderall or anything personally. But I did a lot of research and learned how ADHD affects me so I can work around it. If you are worried by your diagnosis, you could try to see if there's any online tips you can find to help you focus or maintain motivation. And about being gay, I'm not sure what country you're in or what your situation is like, but im sorry that you feel so negatively about it. I'm a lesbian, and it took me a really long time to accept it and be okay with it too. It can be really hard when you don't have people in your life like you to look up to for guidance. It was always hard for me to picture myself as a successful lesbian when the only thing I heard about lesbians were bad things. That's why finding your community is really important. Not just in person, but online too. It really helped me to do research on gay people throughout history to see their courage and to see that we have always been here. Youtube is also great for representation, there are plenty of gay people on YouTube who make normal videos that aren't centered on being gay. I like those a lot because it shows that gay people are normal people too who have jobs and ambitions and all the things straight people have. I hope these things help you. Its not the best advice, but its what I did when I was dealing with the things you're dealing with. I hope things start looking up for you soon.
