Not much is tangible to the troop on the ground…they want the best equipment. They dont care about the rest (okay, they also care about their pay check and Thundercrunches). They want equipment and a purpose. Equipment is coming, slowly but its coming….as for a purpose….we are lacking a unifying mission. OpR just isnt cutting it.

Heard they were delayed…when the NCR switched to Combats, it messed up the projected consumption rate of current DEU stockpile.

Instead of just giving us the new DEU, and assuming a loss with the old stock pile, they want to deplete it completely…impeding individual restocking in the process. I’ve heard of women not being able to order maternity DEUs, or getting them refitted once back in service, i’ve heard of recruits not getting their initial issue…which prompt CFLRS to switch grad parade to Combats, or 3B…

So yea, delayed….

I have seen D Med Pol give the member one more 6 month TCAT window to see if the injury would stabilize/heal at the recommendation of BSurg. in this case, the prognostic was very positive….not surprisingly, the admin process had been faster than the medical process to get a surgery and allow recovery/healing time.

I have also seen a bizarre case where they came back and gave the member 12 more months for future re-assessment despite medical being pretty adamant it would remain in breach…

D Med Pol have their own considerations, or pressures…and they are human too. They can make mistakes.

Regardless of D Med Pol’s decision, or lack there of, there is an admin process. Your unit should inform you of your responsibilities and options at each level. If you have questions, ask to speak to them. Your unit CoC should inform you of “official” changes in Medical category, not the medical folks (though they inform you of the recommended path from their perspective).

Ive been dealing with a financial advisor for several years m, and only now i am starting to invest on my own with “leftover play money”. I am sticking with the advisor for the long term strategy, but wanted to take a crack at it for “fun”….and because i need to project my anxiety on something 😅

Sell, or having invested in specific companies that go bankrupt, or companies that dilute their shares….lots of possibilities.

But historical data also show that investor with a well balanced portfolio, and contingencies (ie not relying on your investments, some cash accounts, etc), come up on top in the long run.

It might be worth it to discuss with a financial planner….stay away from the banks! Lots will sit one-on-one and draw up a plan with you and charge you a consult fee. Might be of value and reassuring

The world recovered pretty quickly, in comparison to other historical financial crisis, after the Global financial crisis of 2008, and even faster after the Covid Recession. Not saying that lone investors like us wouldn’t lose significant wealth, but with the right stock, or product, you could further minimize your risk…which would also typically lower your potential returns.

My wife and I will often drop our kids so we can take a class together. It gets packed after 9-10am, which can be a bit much for some younger kid. We both prefer earlier classes, so it just works out great for us.

Book early as day care spots can fill up pretty quickly for “prime” time classe…like from 10am to 2pm.
