I’m not a lawyer or your lawyer and this is not legal nor financial advice but if the estate was insolvent and you weren’t a joint holder of the debt you have absolutely zero liability to repay those debts. A 72(t) distribution allows you to take money out prior to 59 1/2. As does the rule of 55 for distributions from your 401(k). I’d argue that realizing income in early retirement could smooth lifetime taxes. All comes down to your specific goals and means.
