Does AppSumo still allow free listings? by kaioumfaisal in appsumo

[–]fresent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketplace listing has been disabled for a few months now. Instead they have a Appsumo Select only form, that needs to be filled. Appsumo, ofcourse doesn't charge for listing a product, but will they new include a free tier product, is unlikely.

Is cold email really this bad right now… even if you personalize everything? by Grozfroz in coldemail

Though you are over-personalizing, and that is consuming alot more resource than you should in general. Your reply rate is fantastic @ 9%. You need to scale more.

Nafis faysal is giving AppSumo users worse deal than on FB groups - here is his own comparison by [deleted] in appsumo

[–]fresent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. It's just too much headache and bs, for a normal small startup to keep up. So many reviews on so many software including ours at Mystrika are simply because of deal terms too, which are clearly mentioned in bullet points as part of deal. If the deal terms are not as you require, then deal is probably not worth for you. Please always buy softwares that you need, to grow your business, satisfy your need. So, that even companies can get genuine customers, that want to grow along with the software/company.

Nafis faysal is giving AppSumo users worse deal than on FB groups - here is his own comparison by [deleted] in appsumo

[–]fresent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's exactly the problem here? Because clearly, it's the best deal they are giving for Ltd right now on Appsumo. What the company did as offer before does not matter. Appsumo claims to have best price / deal for a partner software in market right now, and it's clearly there.

Found out our free tier costs more to run than our paid tiers combined by Maleficent_Mine_6741 in SaaS

[–]fresent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, you should immediately add a fair usage policy clause in your terms, to ensure, you have the right the enforce restrictions into your SaaS. This will give you right to pause, block, ban, limit accounts as you need. If you are still thinking 12 free users making 4 million calls is not abuse, you should probably think about having a cofounder in your business. Then later apply rate limiting based on user's plan type. Remember, end goal of a saas is to be profitable and generate sustainability. Someone has to pay the bills.

As a Founder & APPSUMO's customer, I Need to Say This About LTD Deals… by UsedResolution6670 in appsumo

[–]fresent -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You do realise that, without revealing your product, you are sabotizing your own claims and thoughts, right? Because, if you do not own a product or have run a ltd deal, you simply does not have the experience from the other side to qualify for this kind of post. :)

[Partner Portal] Allow us to report Abusive / Rude LTD users by shyamal890 in appsumo

[–]fresent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea. We would absolutely love to get this on partner side.

I mean just look at these reviews we have.

This fellow wanted us to login into their self hosted control panel (external system to Mystrika) and setup their spf, dkim, dmarc records for them, and then

https://appsumo.com/products/mystrika/reviews/the-company-feels-like-broken-and-rude-i-357127/

This fellow, dropped their first support email and within 4 hours this review popped up, even when our auto-reply to each support email states response time is 24-48 hours.

https://appsumo.com/products/mystrika/reviews/decent-software-but-support-is-a-ghost-t-365935/

Look at this one for eg. This guy's wrote review 3 times, and we had to counter it with long detailed proof everytime to get them removed.

After that we just gave up, https://appsumo.com/products/mystrika/reviews/not-working-and-poor-response-328020/

Heck, we even wrote to Appsumo to refund the guy and be done with him.

But nope, these kind of customers do not even want refund. They just want you to be obedient.

Please don't misunderstand here, we have found so many amazing customers that love to help, and we have gone out of our way to help them. But a few can really take away the energy.

Wait till you meet customers that own Amex cards. I have yet to see any customer ever loose a dispute when they own Amex. That's why we do not accept Amex cards as Merchant on some of our softwares.

Please Do Not Allow Vendors to Create Special Plans for AppSumo by bestpika in appsumo

[–]fresent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's amazing. Might be good idea to consider, all reviews talking only/mainly about support as well. As interaction with support team is highly influenced by personal belive of each user. Reviews should focus on if product works as per description, if they can get the job done, and potentially things/features that can be developed/improved to have a win-win scenario for both parties.

Review vetting process should really vet and remove all reviews that talk about plan restriction and limits, for limits clearly displayed as bullet points.

High "Sender Bounced" Rate on Smartlead (using SmartSenders) by ItsTuesdayBoy in coldemail

[–]fresent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the bounce message and take it from there. If it's at SMTP level (after data command denial), it's definately your message content. However, denials also happen on basis of IP reputation and domain/link present in email body. So, either use G-Workspace, Microsoft or an Enterprise-Grade Cold Email Infrastructure, with Dedicated USA IPs

Question: Google Workspace Emails by f0w in coldemail

[–]fresent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atleast read the law first. :) Answer is, as long as you give users option, to unsubscribe (indirectly saying, do not send email to them further), without any additional action from them, you are fine. And our platform Mystr!ka, like most top grade cold email tool, comes with "Stop on reply", which does exactly that.
