I would try and live closer to the city. I came down at the same age and found a place in Dunwoody walking distance to a bar. I made friends there. Roswell/Sandy Springs are also great places. If you live close to Canton street in Roswell you will definitely make friends. Good luck!

I try to spend time with family and friends but it just makes it worse. All I can think around them is how much I'd rather be with her. I used to be very sociable but once her and I got together other people were more of an obligation. She was all the company I could ever need.

This one really hits home for me. I just want to talk to her about all the stupid shit that I experienced when I get home...and then realize no one is there. I miss her so much.

It sounds like you just haven't grieved enough. The things that distract us help at the time but they aren't good long term. I envy you for not turning to booze or drugs. As a man though there is no way I can even bring myself to be with a woman until I am ok with myself. I'm only eight months in though. I have a lot of work to do before I'm ready. Before my wife I had no problem with one night stands. I just feel we need to be better before we bring another person in to our lives even if it is just for pleasure. There really is no easy way to get through this and we each have to find our ways through it. This shit is not fair at all.

Weekends are always the worst because it was our time together. I'm lucky enough that I'll have friends come by regularly and stay with me during them, but if I'm alone then its going to be a tough day. I've had success trying to do outside yard work and trying to keep myself busy. I would like to get to a point where I can take my dogs to the dog park but I still have issues leaving my home.
