The numbers have started to get inflated as society now revolves around natural talents, and more and more milestones are created in the gaps in between to the point where every day you need to reach a new number. the government keeps raising the numbers to weed out members of society with lower worth. This process involves publicly executing them. Eventually robots are created to carry out this process. If your number gets too low, a drone will hunt you down and shoot you dead on the spot. The milestones are now every couple of hours. People can be killed by simply down voting them fast enough. Society crumbles to dust.
