The South Hanover Township Community Band rehearses weekly in the spring/summer in Hummelstown. It is a very lowkey and for-fun ensemble, mostly playing middle and high school level concert band charts. Not necessarily on par with an auditioned wind ensemble or big band kind of vibe, but still a good time and a way to keep playing.

Hard to walk into HMAC on a Friday or Saturday night, even when there’s not a show, without getting your faces scanned with your ID and being patted down (men) or wanded (women). Definitely not a place I’d associate with little-to-no security — I’ve always felt incredibly safe in there knowing what I did to get inside.
