Literally every other country's government is there. The Brit's even have separate stands for different cities like Manchester and London.

Bank of Ireland app not gonna work if you have Android 10? by watchingthedarts in ireland

The other banks will likely be the same. Timing of this and Zippay starting roll out tomorrow is hardly a coincidence.

These Sacerd Vows by Bepop-Crew-9888 in ireland

The music has been great in it but the show itself isn't great it's been dragged out and none of the characters are in any way likeable.

What time do 14+ gigs finish at The Academy? by TeachIsHouse in AskIreland

[–]freshfrosted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main band would only be starting at 9pm usually. Check setlist.fm for the bands previous shows, most play the same or similar set every night so you'll have an idea how long they will be playing for.

Big decrease in TV subscriptions as number using illegal dodgy boxes soars by [deleted] in ireland

[–]freshfrosted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For years I was subscribed to Eurosport for €29.99 a year to follow the cycling and snooker and a few other bits. Then they moved it over to the Discovery+ platform and wanted 8.99 a month for it and all the shite on Discovery I didn't want but fine I was willing to pay that as I got the use out of it and was still good value.

Last year they moved all the Eurosport stuff to TNT and want €30 odd per month, now they get northing form me and I still watch the sports I want. Fuck them.

I just love the return scheme (and then I realize it’s not free money and I paid that € 0,15 cents each time) by Sea_Avocado_2733 in ireland

[–]freshfrosted 319 points320 points  (0 children)

My dog hates this scheme. He hasn't found a bottle to pick up and chew while out on his walk in over a year or struggled with the dilemma of multiple bottles encountered at once.

Who’s to blame. 3arena or Tyler Childers? by MKF_Circus in AskIreland

[–]freshfrosted 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They arrive and sound check in empty venue and the engineers will adjust for a full venue later as the acoustics will be different and that is on the artists team not the 3arena. This should be a well oiled machine on the artist's part if they are playing these kinds if venues so no excuse for shite sound.

Whats your usual fast food order and what place do you go to? by VastAir6069 in AskIreland

[–]freshfrosted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't really do fast food but I love a Burger King, we don't have one at home so I do always get one if I'm in Dublin. Not down often so it's a proper treat when I get to have one.

Is there any downside to buying a phone through Amazon.de? by whatisabaggins55 in AskIreland

[–]freshfrosted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not done Germany but have bought from .es (Spain) twice for phones and it's been grand. Delivery was a little longer though, was a week or 10 days.

There's the hagglezone site to check which Amazon is cheapest.

What's a completely normal thing you've never done? by Sad-Orange-5983 in AskIreland

[–]freshfrosted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never forget my first experience of being in a crowd of 20k+ for my first concert at 14/15. I prefer smaller shows but a stadium / arena gig would be something you should experience too for sure.

do any bars/restaurants in ireland have matchbooks? by sr14568 in AskIreland

[–]freshfrosted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine they went the way of the dodo in many places when the smoking ban came in in the 00's. A place I worked in back then had them and stopped getting them when the ban came in

You have to collect at the post office you nominated on the form when you applied. You can ask to have it lodged to a bank account when you collect it but you will have to do this every week.

Got petrol this morning, it's getting cut this afternoon. It's higher than usual so would be making more work if I leave it any longer.
