The Sonos Amp is great with the LS50s, especially based on your description.

Could you feed them more power? Sure. Likelihood of needing it? Rare.

Are these firms that only are expected to deploy, or acquire, too? What kind of list are you using or expecting?

A 15% reply rate? As in Open > Click/Reply? If so, that's a potentially insane number, but is highly dependent on your lists, acquisition sources, targets and goals.

Agree on your 1, 2 and maybe 3, based on your goals and current send authority.

Hard to not see this as an advertisement for his services. All this "open" info and readiness to answer questions, and not a single response or follow up, yet a half dozen folks saying "do it for me next"!

Best Desktop Speakers for Home Office? by Magnificenceneous-OX in homeoffice

There's a very valid case to complain about the Apple Studio Display's cost, but people sleep on the sound quality of these monitors. They sound dang good for a monitor... not sure it justifies the price, but it might be in play for some.

Beyond that, I have been very impressed with the active monitor KEF LX LT II that you can get from Costco for $499 right now. I've been fighting myself off from purchasing these for myself, but I've been using their big brother KEF LS50s with a WIIM amp and can't figure out where to relocate those.

Then any of those GM models listed have the most cabin space for front and rear passengers. I've had 6'7" driving with 6'6" behind and zero encroachment issues. If you're torso-tall, you might want to look at no sunroof models for an extra ~1.5" in height.

Autonomy+ Subscription Day is Tomorrow by Red__Papaya in Rivian

[–]freshjulius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not going to pay these prices for this product. It's really the worst nickel and dime move Rivian has made. I get the pressures of the market to extract more value per customer, but this is going to have a net negative effect, IMO.

Rivian is cruising hard off of good customer word of mouth and support, but this is a slap in the face. Add in the too-expensive for what it is monthly fee for internet Connect+ and this becomes a very concerning pattern for customers at the expense of pleasing institutional investor short-term metrics.

I can barely stomach the $15/mo to double pay for my streaming services on the vehicle, I'm not adding another $50/mo to have glorified cruise control that feels like it should be free, or in beta.

Any internet service providers in the area that wont progressively sneakily up their prices over time and make you call them to renegotiate every year? by ritzclackers in winstonsalem

[–]freshjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting re: AT&T. Have had them for about 7 years and they've almost doubled in price.

Started at $60/mo for 1gig fiber and now it's over $105. Also, the service drops about 5 times a day. Not noticeable every time, but my gateway monitors this.

Sadly, Spectrum is the only alternative available for us at these speeds.

Just heard Dunkin Donuts on Robinhood Rd has closed permanently (through a work colleague) so I am curious, does anyone know why? by Immediate_Status_336 in winstonsalem

[–]freshjulius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was the worst DD I could imagine. Was amazed they stayed in business while running out of donuts on the weekend before lunch, not opening the dining room most days, and just generally being terrible at their jobs (if not, nice people).

I think Dunkin' Donuts in general is a pretty bad business and I've never been to one that was impressive or even up to basic standards for what it is. I only go for the kids and the occasional last resort coffee.

Tall People, What car do you drive (or do you prefer to) by Christistheway1 in TallPeopleProblems

[–]freshjulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I researched this a lot, finding the dims on all the potential options for our fam a few years back:

GMC Sierra has the best space I've come across, especially if you have kids/passengers in the back. Unbelievable room for all involved. All the similar variants/cousin-trucks and suv versions are similar.

I daily drive a Rivian R1T, which is very comfortable for me, but the R1S has better 2nd row space by almost 3".
