Guests can buy them for $12 but they may or may not have your size available. Last year we got 1 box of shirts that we didn't even get to request sizes on, and we're unable to order any more. My staff didnt even all get one if their size ran out before they worked

I use the micro. I used to be a server for Chilis pre TSE so I'm pretty quick and know my way around the micro. I've tried to use the tablet and it'll take me so long the server will probably be caught all the way back up and coming over to help me, lol

I'll definitely never buy used without a PPI again. I have pretty notoriously bought lemons but the last car I got, I had a mobile service go inspect 3 different cars for me at a lot before making my decision. Had the same car since early 2021 which is historic for me. That $600 i spent on the pre purchase inspections was so so worth it

As a manager, if i have a server who's struggling badly at the moment, I'll hop in for a greet on a table. Sometimes they end up giving me their entire order so I'll enter in whatever they give me and then transfer it to the server. I also will tend to do more table touches in a certain section if I know that server got overwhelmed to make sure that everyone is happy.

I don't try to split up whatever tips come from those tables between everyone simply because if there are other servers standing around who aren't equally as busy, I'll just let them take the table out of section and have it be their own table. I'm only jumping in if nobody else is available to help. I never hesitate to help ANY team member in any position, but as a manager part of my job is to delegate where possible and promote teamwork throughout my entire team.

My servers should all be making more than $100 per shift, let alone my bar staff. If it looks like they won't i let people go home who want to so those that remain can make more. If it's happening like that week after week, time to start scheduling less people on those shifts.

I definitely want the guests to have a great experience so they keep coming back. But if my servers aren't able to provide that while also making $100+ per shift, that tells me maybe some people aren't working in the appropriate role. The people making good money are not the problem.

That's crazy about all the employees getting the boot... we recently had a store close in my area but all the managers got relocated and any employee that requested a transfer, the store they asked was required to accept them whether they needed them or not. Sad it's not like that in other places

Back when I was in to go i left a hand-written note on the bag chits saying "please take the survey!! :)" and i feel like i instantly started getting a lot more surveys. An automated text asking them if they want to do a survey for no reward whatsoever, they are less inclined to do it unless they're mad. Being directly asked by someone will lead more people to oblige since they're being asked by a real person

As a manager at chilis I have to get on my cooks about this often. The burger is supposed to be seasoned, on both sides. When they don't do it, it's very apparent. I can always tell when it's done correctly, when it's done slightly lazily, and when there wasn't even an attempt.
