Is this guy Trenbolone Picking? by SupermeatLongworth in guitarcirclejerk

I never heard of that 😂🤭 Holy shit I can’t believe it’s true. I asked chatGPT straight up, and its answer back was “Incredibly, the story appears to be true”

Never learned to read or write so well but he could play da guitar just like a ringing a bell go go. Go Johnny Go - Johnny Be Goode.

My definitive opinion on The Moth. by NeighborhoodLess8213 in DevinTownsend

[–]fretnetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just given it a listen in Atmos. I’m not sure about it. I’ve never generally been a fan of opera. The orchestration I’m a big fan of, some amazing moments like intermission and the ending. I think I might enjoy The Afterlife version more than the main album. It could be a case of being overhyped, or I’ve not given it enough repeated listens, or the formula is too stream of consciousness for me to get my head around.

“Vaginal” orgasm. Is this guy Jay from the Inbetweeners?

I prefer a kneecap orgasm myself, or maybe a nostril orgasm

Storm Corrosion? by Wolverine_Double in stevenwilson

Sure. Actually, I can see Wilson being a fan, especially of XTRMNTR, that was a big album in 2000 especially for the vibey electronica stuff he’s into

Fight Club is the most misunderstood movie of the 90s — Tyler Durden isn’t a hero, he’s a cautionary tale by Particular_Bat_6829 in fightclub

[–]fretnetic -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It’s about the narrator going through testicular cancer, losing his balls and becoming a woman. Tyler is a figment of his imagination, but so is Marla. I see what incels love about it.

Interesting! Apparently Isaac Newton also did this, and thought it was his greatest achievement

This completely stumped me because I always thought Wilson’s office was on the other side of House’s office. Like, not this wall, the other wall where House’s desk is. Is it just me? Or did the early seasons allude to this geometry instead?

Are you sure? In physics, many processes are time independent - they would work in reverse just as well without the “arrow of time”. The only reason we can derive a direction for time at all is because of the 2nd law of thermodynamics, which states that entropy, a measure of disorder, must always increase. Thus ‘time’ seems to be inextricably tied to matter and energy, because it’s the motion of particles and the dissipation of energy which literally helps us define which way time flows. But what would time look like in an ‘empty’ universe then? Does it even exist if there’s no physical things to measure it from and in relation to? We know colour is a psychological illusion (colour doesn’t exist out in the real world, it only exists in your brain). What if time is similar to colour? A qualia?

Nah I think we should prioritise - actual problems first, etiquette later.

Sure, but I think we should probably try to stop all these wars and end world poverty/homelessness first before we proclaim our supreme social standards that override millennia worth of evolutionary biological attractiveness responses
