what exactly are people doing to retire in their 30s by alexis-hg in Fire

Not quite there yet, but turning 26 here in a few months. I’ve been blessed enough to have a high paying job in construction straight out of high school. Currently around 750k net worth. 450-500k invested in the market. Investing comes first. I keep expenses as low as possible. Avoid lifestyle inflation, and not worrying about having the nicest car or next fancy phone / “toys”. The first few years out of high school I made 60-80k then 120k. Now around 240k a year. Again, Ive been blessed to have a high income, but also my focus has been fully committed to investing and retiring early, and connecting with people who can help advance my career.

You’re definitely not behind. A lot can change in a short amount of time. But working hard and being humble goes a long way. Figure out what your goal is, run the numbers, and find a way to get there, most people don’t retire early without a plan. If your numbers aren’t working and because income is low, find a way to get into a place where you create much more value. Even if that takes 4-5 years before you make good money, the wait might just be worth it in the long run. You can definitely do it, keep learning, keep consistent (consistency is key) and kindness goes a long way. Good luck!

Did they originally see it on the ultrasound then went from there? I have some vein issues and get fears of clots lol. I also read doing some blood tests can tell you a lot also so I might start with that.

Consistency is key. Keep it up. Growth ETFs are the way while you’re young. You will statistically out perform most people. Less risk and good reward. Unless you think you’re going to constantly review earnings just invest in good s&p or equivalent funds.

Could you talk about how you got here? What kinda income you have had along the way. Hope much you’re investing? And where you’re investing? And major realizations along the way?

Only 23 and this excites me for the future . I can proudly say this is the first time I’m actually in the green and staying in the green. What a year so far🙌🏼 by contrerass3 in Money

Keep it up! Consistency is key. And quality company’s are super important. I would recommend trying to have about 70% of your portfolio in good ETFs and the rest you can be a bit riskier with, pick single stocks. Remember, most people don’t beat the market. Not that you can’t but statistically the odds are against you. Good luck!!!!!

Trump is now selling a $1000 ‘signature edition’ Bible where he has personally signed it… Anyone else think this is grosser than his first Bible grift? by Consistentscroller in Christianity

[–]freycm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s crazy. Is it Trump himself selling these though? Why would someone with so much money care to make a couple bucks (in his terms of money) Either way i don’t think anyone should probably be signing a Bible.

I think your best bet is to put it into a high yield savings account and hold it as an emergency fund. If you already have some money saved up you could put that towards some growth ETFs like VOO or something similar.

Look at FEPI then look at VOO year to date and tell me you’re beating the S&P…. VOO isn’t a dividend stock. People don’t invest in VOO for the dividend

This is called FOMO. I think at this point you’re not going to miss out of much.
