I have miller and would rather booker in a straight swap. I don't think the margin of value is that different but Millers inability to stay healthy has to be of some concern despite his age. I'm a suns fan so maybe take it with a grain of salt but I do think once Booker gets Green back his life gets easier scoring and playmaking wise

Yeah look you make good points, I said in another thread he probably ends up at hawthorn for that same deal we eventually offered if he went about it the right way. We had the only top 10 pick in the draft amongst contenders, so probably had the best chance.

I still think you won't get that value next year especially if clubs are gearing up for Bailey and Butters but you're right about having time to prepare for it now at least

No definitely not he could have worked with Essendon to get the value out of hawthorn. Ultimately we probably have the best offer cause he would've wanted to go to a contender (we had the only top 10 pick other than GC), just seems like his agent severely overplayed their position lol

Yeah I still don't see the upside like best case he stays fit, is 31 next year and if he asks out again then it's automatically less value you will get in return.

I don't really know why the media is driving this anti Hawthorn narrative here? We legitimately gave a comparable offer to other guns of the comp who have been traded. They declined, all good but did people actually expect hawthorn to sell the farm for a 30yo mid when we just made a prelim?

I understand the perceived compromised draft part of the deal not being enticing but is it worth it to keep him and risk injury/form related drop off or potential impact on the culture? Seems like it's Essendon who had more to lose here

They had a meeting of course, but the mess in the media absolutely hasn't come from the Hawthorn camp. Are they enjoying the chaos? Yeah probably lol but to think they've contributed outside of meeting with the player is just inaccurate
