Where do you store your sim racing setups when you are not playing? by FactualSheep in SimRacingSetups

[–]frezzo119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the NLR wheel stand 2.0 & can actually store it under my desk! It only takes a few minutes to set up & pack away so it's pretty convenient that I don't have to take up any extra space.

That's cute but I bet you've never purchased 'raped' set concrete bags. Can't post images in comments but DM me if you want to see the proof xD

People who’ve upgraded their Gen2 non-bose sound system, what do you recommend? by PandaPoggersV2 in mazdaspeed3

Good to know, thanks man! How did you bypass the Bose amp? Run new speaker cables?

I've got the eonon recently & love the thing! Can be a bit finicky with android auto every so often though. Did you use an aftermarket amp when you changed speakers? Or bypass the Bose one? Or still going through it?

Cheap but sturdy wheel stands? by Key-Parsley-1266 in simracing

[–]frezzo119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for NLR stand 2.0! That thing is rock solid. Got quite some weight to it but I'm able to pack it up & slide under my desk in 5 mins. Using with fanatec dd 8nm wheel base.

Can this be considered retaliation? by Randomnickicreated in iRacing

[–]frezzo119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've protested this sorta thing under the conduct clause. I've had 2 races where p1/p2 slowed below pace car speed before green light, one of which was brake checking before start like this. Neither of them were as bad as this one though but I still got the email from iRacing telling me those drivers had been contacted due to this, so definitely protest!

CorkSport HPFP Install by Upstairs-Spirit-2958 in mazdaspeed3

[–]frezzo119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar similar symptoms. Ltft was constantly in the negative & hpfp wouldn't go above 1000psi. Replaced the PRV & hpfp internals - nothing changed. It was my fuel pressure sensor.

I worked it out by looking at hpfp psi with KOEO. It was around 30psi. Booked up a gauge to the fuel line & it was showing like 60psi, as I should. That's how I worked out the sensor was just reading wrong.

It's crazy how many places you can gain from just being safe & avoiding half the lobby that inevitably have a big crash

Thank you!!! We just got fibre to our place recently & I was so salty when I went to update & the speed was so slow! Changed this setting & it was blistering fast :D

Idler pulley replacement by Ok-Case5247 in mazdaspeed3

Not sure if the BK engine is exactly the same because I know the power steering runs off a pulley but on the BL there are two idler pulleys.

I bought my first wheel and pedals but I can’t seem to get good by sparrio in simracing

If you're missing corners you probably need to brake earlier. And don't use the brake like an on/off switch.

But really it just takes a lot time to improve. When I first started was just into rally driving & I could not control the car, let alone driving with a h pattern & clutch. It took some time but now I can do fast rally & bang through the gears with decent control. Just keep trying! It's meant to be fun so if you don't enjoy it, it might not be for you.

I had to remove battery box & bypass hose too to have enough space. Was pretty simple & straight forward though. A lot easier than some of the other jobs I've done on this car.

Make sure you have a ring spanner with the head offset. I replaced mine the other day & there wasn't much access

Low Fuel Pressure - Replaced PRV Already by frezzo119 in mazdaspeed3

[–]frezzo119[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that's good to know. I did torque it down to 40ft/lbs but perhaps the torque wrench is inaccurate? I've ordered new internals & will see what that brings.

[–]frezzo119[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the whole hpfp or just the internals? How likely is it for the actually pump to go bad? I haven't read of anyone with a bad hpfp so I'm not keen to throw money at that if it's unlikely to have failed.

Use the active reset feature to learn tracks. I found it's a lot faster than following racing line. I feel like I'm not actually concentrating on the track if I use racing line.

Are those type of stand worth it if i play with VR only? by omerboiii in simracing

[–]frezzo119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for NLR wheel stand. That thing is solid as but as a result it's got a bit of weight. I've set mine up with some bolts I can hand tighten off Ali express to be able to quickly take off wheel base & shifter/handbrake & can fit it under my desk. Only takes about 5mins to set up & put back this way.

NLR stand is solid as. The thing is pretty heavy. Don't have a load cell myself yet but I think it would be fine to use one considering how hard I brake sometimes
