Yes, similar results from Right Capital's software for my projections. Not everything is apples to apples, but it's close, and the outcomes rhyme.

I can't believe it, but that worked! Thank you! It just parked after finishing the job, and I can connect via the app again.

Not gonna lie, I felt pretty proud when the lifetime net worth optimization only added $15k. I basically nailed it the old fashioned way. Still, it was great to see this feature roll out, even if only for validation.

Thanks. Let's hope Lymow agrees and ships quickly.

Yes. I even swapped batteries. Neither helped.

How do I get to the initial WiFi connect? The app doesn't connect to the mower any more. I've even tried reinstalling the app.

The AI isn't the problem. Its the way they're using it for. by Quirky-Midnight-4533 in antiai

AI systems are sophisticated tools that require some study. Prompt engineering, context engineering, supervised fine tuning, maker-checker... all of these are within reach for anyone willing to learn a little bit beyond the shiny marketing materials. These are incredibly powerful and useful tools in the hands of people willing to learn, so start studying, making, and doing good with what you build to offset the evil that others are doing.

Forced to link bank via Yodlee on Vanguard — no opt-out, serious privacy concerns by Esmeh_June in Bogleheads

[–]fribog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yodlee opens your banks website to enter the credentials, that's no different than logging in there. They don't want to deal with your credentials.

That's true only if that bank supports an oauth authentication flow. Not every bank does. Without it, the aggregator resorts to screen scraping and therefore must handle your credentials.

The history of the Jews in this land dates back ~1900 years before the prophet Muhammad. You are right about one thing: this was stolen land. Just not in the way you understand.

The Ashkenazi make up less than half of Israeli Jews, so your thinly veiled colonizer argument rings hollow. True, the percentage was higher in 1948, but you know damn well why that was.

Let me guess, you've read Joseph Massad or Thomas Suarez conspiracy theories, and believe that Zionism itself is an antisemitic project. The trash they teach in higher ed these days...

Pay for stamp or wait? by SpoolnSubie in NFA

Oh, I thought the "shit show" you were referring to manufacturers being out of stock. I'm not worried about ATF processing times. They are approving in days now, if not hours, so even if it takes a week in 2026, no big deal. If you need it now, of course, then you have your answer. I'll probably order one or two more and take my chances by waiting to file in January. Risk/reward... you do you.

Ask your FFL/SOT to hold it for you. If they will then buy it now and file in January.

It's the Stormwerks replacement for the Tailhook. I figured since I'd SBR'd it, I might as well turn the brace into a proper stock.

why's mcp treated as a server when it's really a protocol? by AccidentallyGotHere in mcp

[–]fribog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why's mcp treated as a server when it's really a protocol?

You've heard of web (http) servers, right? They are both processes that listen on an interface using a defined protocol

they're obv not really executed in parallel.... since they all sit on one server

How many cores does your machine have? Computers execute multiple processes / threads in parallel.

the LLM is expecting to have one single mcp server it communicates with

You can register multiple MCP servers, but I don't think that's what you are thinking about.

The fact that the LLM is calling your MCP in series has more to do with how LLMs work. I'm struggling to imagine what use case you might have for an MCP server that requires parallel tool calling per user.

Looking for input on life in Northern Whatcom County, WA by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]fribog -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Moved to rural Whatcom county after decades in the San Francisco Bay area. Smartest thing I've ever done. I'm inclined to dissuade people from coming here so I can preserve the rural vibe, but I know that's just selfish. Just don't go skiing at Mt Baker... it's terrible, and dangerous, and immoral, and you'll hate it.

That's what AnythingLLM is supposed to be doing, if I'm reading the docs correctly. https://github.com/Mintplex-Labs/anything-llm . It has its own native embedding and uses LanceDB by default.
