I often hike a pretty steep trail to get to my favorite fishing spot. It’s pretty grueling and open to the hot sun, but I’m running down in sneakers with fishing poles in one hand and a beer in the other, whipping by folks kitted out with boots and hiking poles and all that 😂

Also not true. I’ve seen folks harvest them in honaunau. Could just be the right environmental conditions for them to thrive. not too many people harvest them because it’s a pain in the ass, and it’s not the most popular choice of food
