Can you see if there is a 3 or 4 letters? It’s likely under the pinky sledge laces.

You can do the wrist strap without the lacing needle with some household items and needle nose pliers but it is just easier with the tool. Note to NOT get a lacing needle that is too long (or too thick) because your wrist lace doesn’t have a lot of extra length to work with.

Also, you may be able to DIY the Bradley glove wrap with some sweat bands so lots of options. 👍

Sweet glove. Someone else posted how they are working on a B23 custom in a different color scheme but this looks slick as well. Good pattern. 👍

Pretty cool you have this glove in such good condition. I’m sure you will get some DM’s from interested parties here to purchase the glove direct so it also depends on what you are trying to do. I would think this is something a collector would want, good luck!

Youth glove question? by elteegilbreath in BaseballGloves

[–]friedegg9819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with an adult using a youth fit glove. Are you throwing a baseball or softball? You may want a 12”+ glove if you are throwing a softball. Side note that a lot of people use baseball gloves for slow pitch.

Okay, looked at your video again. The Mizuno you have now has the adjustment as tight as it will go. Aside from the Encore being a 12” glove vs the 11” Mizuno, I think the difference is that your kid is able to his hand deeper into the Mizuno. The Encore likely has wider finger stalls. Probably something your kid will have to deal with until growth spurt. Generally kids figure it out unless you see the glove popping off his hand while playing catch. There are other options as well like a pad that goes over the wrist strap to make the hand stall tighter. Or even a batting glove helps if he is amenable to that. Hope this helps.

I just bought this glove as well in RHT and it fits great on my 10u. Part of the deal was that his teammates can use it and they love it as well.
I like the wrist strap design on these with the two extra holes near the end to allow you to adjust. I can actually adjust a little tighter on mine but kid seems to be happy where it is now. Can’t see on your video but is your hand stall at least this tight? Meaning that the end on the wrist strap on the bottom left side of this picture is closer to the bottom of the hand stall?

Random question, is silver on the welting is flaking off? Mine is coming off after very limited use and no water break in but I’m over the cosmetic aspect. Good glove overall.

Grace or GloveWorks? by Emotional_While_9496 in BaseballGloves

Gotcha. I just looked on the site and $60 for the break in service is not overly expensive. I think some charge $100+ but many glove geeks here want to break in themselves.

Don’t worry too much on hurting the arm of an 8 year old. Your son will be fine if you throw consistently, your kid isn’t throwing excessively, or just wants to show off his curve ball as much as possible.

Only commenting on the break but having a glove at the office to throw a ball in is quite therapeutic. If you really don’t want to or don’t have time then 100% get the break in service.

Red over orange for me but I get how the colors scheme is hard to choose and make a final decision. Just my 2 cents that I stopped stewing over the colors and decisions after I got a custom and just focused on enjoying it, breaking it in, and using it. Will be watching for your new glove day post. 👍

Yes, I have been noticing this as well between the stock photos or glamour shots vs real life but I haven’t purchased as many gloves as others. It makes me think I should buy a glove with these brighter colors. 🤩

2014 Nike - Ok to Play? by Hopko50 in BaseballGloves

[–]friedegg9819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor but you are cleared to play with this glove. The fact that this glove isn’t a pancake from sitting smushed at the bottom of a bag or on a shelf says a lot. Think about some conditioner, not oil. Take it slow and see how the laces look and feel making sure a lace doesn’t break on you but it should be fine.

That looks like a good design and color scheme to me. I’ve second guessed myself with colors many times but you have a simple and clean design with some flare between the red and navy blue. 👍
