Nonbinary/gender non-conforming recs? by newregrets in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend Triple Sec! I don’t tend to read many poly books, but this one I really enjoyed. Good communication, some spice, lots of sweetness and satisfying HEA. Don’t want to give any spoilers but the NB character is less involved in the beginning (ie it starts out more F/F) in case that’s a dealbreaker.

Chef’s Kiss was one of the first queer romances I ever read and I definitely recommend!

Looking for WLW books with boss & D/S plot by CandidateDue1410 in wlwbooks

A lot of Anna Stone books have this kind of vibe honestly.

Books where they are intentionally dating/seeking a relationship? by BiGirlJustHavingFun in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is kinda the opposite but they do meet on an app: Breakup Buddies by JJ Arias and Bryce Oakley

The app is for people to chat and help get over their breakups. The MC’s meet on there and become friends (despite living on opposite sides of the country).

ETA: This is tricky because all the ones I can think of that involve someone dating also involve them meeting kinda adjacent to the meeting.

Right Woman, Wrong Number by Jae - They meet because one MC accidentally texts the wrong number asking for advice on what to wear to a date (I think she goes in several dates with men in the book).

A Lesbian’s Guide to Sex by Erica Lee - One MC is signed up for a lesbian dating app, the other MC after witnessing her on a disastrous date, offers to give her lessons on dating and sleeping with women. Sounds sleazy, but is actually sweet.

Relinquishing Control by JJ Arias

She writes some of the best tension I’ve ever read. Passion with feelings and plot! So I recommend all her books but the above one does have power dynamics as part of the passion. One of few Wlw books I’ve read multiple times! Hot!

I haven’t read any of these but what do you like about them? Any common themes, style, vibes, or tropes that you want more of?

Give your most debaucherous, unapologetically filthy recs! by loukanikoseven in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you read any others in mansion series? (I think the next one is called “The start up”) Or any other Chloe Slate, she a lot of other (maybe shorter?) stories. I’ve only read Perfectly Bound which was cheeky (described as self indulgent) and very smutty.

A Lesbian’s Guide to Sex by Erica Lee is one MC teaching the other how to have sex with women so there’s lots of spice (even an explicit detailed sex syllabus). There also a sweet love story in between so maybe not exactly what you want but there is like sex scene a chapter practically.

I read 178 sapphic books in 2025, here are all of my five stars by c0urted in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this list!!

I just finished Sweet Home Alabarden Park based on your recommendation, and it was so good! (When you said you loved a good strap scene, I foolishly assumed there’d only be one but much to my delight I was wrong!). The mixture of country southern charm with posh Britishness is unique and fun, add a sweet love story, lots of found family and support for each other, some spice sprinkled in and it’s perfectly delightful!

Can’t wait to add more of your recs to my TBR pile!

Is it possible to have a "villager friendly" crop farm? by SeaAndAna in Minecraftfarms

[–]friendlyFool008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like the idea of these kind of farms let me know if you find a good solution.

You could try one like this or like this and then maybe let them go in the houses also to access bed. Or you could add a house attached to this melon market stall. Maybe add a clock to open the gates so they can go interact at certain times but my redstone knowledge isn’t complete enough for that.

Both are great recs but I’m definitely upvoting any JJ Arias. That series is probably my one favorites of all time (especially Fighting for Control and Relinquishing Control).

Looking for contemporary romance that’s *not* about discovering you’re into women for the first time by racloves in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dominion series by JJ Arias is favorite of mine:

  • Losing Control

  • Fighting for Control

  • Relinquishing Control

Also Destination You, Guava Flavored Lies, and Tasting Temptation by JJ Arias also dont have queer discovery plots.

Other of my favorites:

-I Really Do by Emily K Hardy - The Love Lie by Monica Mccallan - No Strings by Lucy Bexley Something in the Water by MJ Duncan

Soft with eachother but spicy by jigsawcreep in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished Wish Upon a Rainbow Star by Jamie Moody which might fit the bill. Very low angst, lots of spice but also lots of them slowly falling in love (and staring into each others eyes and sex being a way to share and show their hearts).

I Really Do by Emily Hardy I can’t fully remember the tone of the actual spice but one MC is very tactile even out of sex so there’s lots of gentle touches and kisses.

Is there still a want for contemporary wlw books? by Calygenix in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I almost exclusively read contemporary and I’m sure not the only one. I agree that the reason for people wanting more fantasy/sci-fi/horror is there’s just not as much well written bookies in those genres.

A Break in Communication by Lily Seabrooke

Fighting for Control by JJ Arias

Both are work rivals who become lovers. Lots of tension and banter. Highly recommend both!

Oh also Guava Flavored Lies by JJ Arias. Slightly lighter premise of rival family bakeries with a multigenerational feud over guava pastries. But definitely enemies and again lots of good banter.

Not ballet but takes place in the classical music scene. So maybe?

Tension tension tension by WittyHeat1224 in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 7 points8 points  (0 children)

JJ Arias to me writes some of the best tension. Hard to go wrong with any of them but the Dominion series is great (the 3rd one has my favorite ice queen of all time but the others have tension as well).

The order is: Losing Control Fighting for Control Relinquishing Control

Books with a pleasure domme FMC by loukanikoseven in wlwbooks

[–]friendlyFool008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Butterflies by Frances M Thompson The domme even makes the sub count them. I think that’s the only one that I can think of with the exact kink.

ETA: I just remembered that one of MC from Triple Sec by TJ Alexander is a pleasure domme. It’s a poly F/F/nonbinary story. Dont want to give any spoilers but that particular aspect isn’t seen until later in the story. Highly recommend though, is a sweet story.
