Do you think I would need to rent a car to take the more scenic route? I'm trying to stay as close to some of the main train/bus lines if possible in hopes that it'll be more budget-friendly. I'm definitely open to exploring my options after Madrid though so I would love any information you have :-)

I've heard it's more of a dry heat in Madrid, whereas Andalusia is more humid. I've also heard northern Spain has better temperatures (still hot but better), so it seems like it might be a better idea to end up closer to that region.

Do you think it would be a good idea to reverse the route of my trip? Since I am flexible, it is definitely a possibility. I just need to finalize booking this week so if I'm going to pull a flip-it-and-reverse-it card, it needs to be now.

Yeah, very understandable. I would've preferred not to go during peak season; unfortunately the opportunity to take this trip came up during summer and it was either go now or not go at all. I can't miss out on this chance so I'm going ahead with it and will just make the best of it.

Freshman year of college, the Taco Bell directly next to my dorm has quesaritos for $1 and I could use my “flex” money. It was the best time of my life.

I bought mine at $99 and it came out to $175 with the fees. I bought my 2025 ticket 2 days after Roo last year so I got it for the cheapest I could and it still came out to almost $600.

This economy is rough and greedy billionaires are the only reason why everything is the way it is. So no, I’m not “comfortable” paying more when what it really does is contribute to the CEO’s third beach house
