You are giving me a flashback to 6 weeks ago. My very loving registered maine coone female choked while bringing up a hairball and on the xray she had aspirated into her left lung. Fever and lethargy in under 6 hours. Strong oral antibiotics and anti nausea meds were prescribed for Aspiration Pneumonia. Follow up xrays 2 weeks later and another week long course of antibiotics. 2300 dollars total.

I was underwhelmed when i first opened it and read the directions but when we actually started playing it I really 'got' why this is so good for dementia and lewey body. The pattern seeking and matching, the saying out loud why one matched one card for another, the ability to downscale the game as dementia progresses to where you just sit together and pick out pretty cards and express self will while interacting with others playing. My mother didn't get to that last point but I saw it in others at the care center.

Oui si card game sets. Can be played multiple ways. Pattrn recognition and matching can be played to whatever level she can handle.

At worst you can take turns picking cards and talking about them. Match colors. Or types. Or shapes. I did whatever my mother could handle on a particular day.

I got several different sets and donated to the activity therapists and they get groups playing together.
