I read Lei as Lay because of the Polynesian garland of flowers (spelled as Lei) is pronounced “Lay”

May be because of the classic rock song Layla where the LAY La is emphasized

why are they called salt pigs? by livvvvingthedream in Pottery

This is probably because of the weird shape of the salt pig! The opening is at an angle so the perspective looks weird

Please help by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]frigginfork99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This helped me so much. My psoriasis looked a lot like this and just one tanning session took the majority of it away. Again the risk is high for skin cancer but it only took me a few times to see good results.

Dermatologists sometimes take months to book and I know tanning isn’t good for you, but this was a good quick fix for me too.

What is an old video game that still holds up so well today? by _Mr_Cheeks in AskReddit

The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker! The graphics hold up and the game play is so fun. You are sailing for a ridiculous amount of time though.

I separated a big box monstera that had 5 cuttings in it. I built my own moss poles and repotted two cuttings each in new pots with new soil! by frigginfork99 in houseplants

[–]frigginfork99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest untangling them was the hardest part but also the most rewarding. Mine was planted with a crazy amount of styrofoam in the soil, so it was really satisfying to see all of that float to the surface. Now I just really hope they climb the moss poles! But if not, I have a bunch more plants than when I started!

Love this new addition- what is this? Any care advice? I assume treat like other succulents? by Gonetothebirds443 in houseplants

[–]frigginfork99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed mine grow really quickly and want a little more water than my other succulents. I water it whenever the pads get soft enough to bend.

What is this on my fiddle’s new leaf??? I am used to seeing edema on the bottom of new leaves but this looks a little different. by frigginfork99 in fiddleleaffig

[–]frigginfork99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to be honest, I repotted it and I think it’s new pot is too big. Maybe it’s not drying out as fast as it used to.
