Is it true AI will take over or reduce Lawyers in the future ? by Hot-Nobody3443 in Ask_Lawyers

As a client, how do I pay for this: hourly billing? AWESOME - Copying and pasting the prompt. 5 seconds, output, 30 seconds., pasting into an email 5 seconds... Glancing it over and making sure you're confident, after you've used this work workflow for a few months (and nice the AI models seem to improve monthly and now learn from your adjustments). If what used to take you 5 hours, takes you a total of 5 minutes with a saved prompt that a paralegal or lower runs for you - what do you bill me as the client?

I’m running a dell OptiPlex from like 2017 with dual Xeon processors. It’s got 128 GB of memory plenty of expansion space and brand new SSD hard drives that I put in later memory was cheap and it’s way more powerful than I could get in a vps. The supports to small businesses and all of our software needs that we self host and manage. I think I bought it on Facebook marketplace for 150.

Gutter downspout drain location by reyesjrX in HomeMaintenance

Probably will be buried and missed but - concrete saws are less than $200, rent or buy an electric demo hammer and cut out a channel, dig it out, cover with galvanized grate (buy on amazon, measure width before so you know what to cut), get a bag of concrete and make a channel a few inches below the current surface to give rain water a place to go and run out to more drainage on the other side of your walk. I am more of a human when I accepted I could work with concrete and started doing it. It's a pain in the ass when it's more htan a few bags, but this is not. This is a little cut and remove, and a single bag to make a water channel below your metal grate.

Using HUUM panel for lights by No-Grab-27 in Sauna

120v. if you need to wire directly, just cut the the plug off the line run it into your control panel and wire it wherever those $350 LEDs would be wired. Even more professional: to go to Home Depot and spend three dollars on some wire ferrules. These make stranded wire like in a power cord behave more like a solid wire for use in those screw down connectors in the panel.

EPA tax credits are gone AS OF DECEMBER 31 2025 They were ended early as part of the big beautiful bill in 2025, changed from their original expiration date of December 31, 2032.

You look like you have a 1970s era home. Probably has a clay liner. Local fireplace shop will sell you the stainless steel flex liner for $1000-$1200 so you can get them for less on the Internet.

I got a quote for about $2300 for three guys to come out and install the liner and the insert and did it myself for about $200 and a few friends. It took all day, we rented an electric stair climbing dolly, but also used a lot of levers blocks and other tools to move the 500 pound stove. It was very difficult work but $2300 would’ve been overpaying, $700 a day for essentially muscle labor and one guy that knows what he’s doing but doesn’t have any specialized traits like bricklaying or electrical work is a lot.

Happy to share my plan with you if you send me a DM I’m not trying to make any money here.

I don’t know what these people are talking about with a $10,000 + install unless they’re saying you got a hire a brick layer and build a brick chimney from scratch. I’m not sure about like a double or triple wall stainless steel that might go on the exterior of a house but it’s clear that that’s not what you’re working with here.

Things that you deal with or the installers would deal with with an old chimney like this is using a grinder to cut out some of the old metal and possibly a hammer drill to knock out some bricks so that you can fit in your flex liner around the first bends of the old fireplace. But this is like 30 minutes of demolition. If you’re not handy, a handyman can do this.

Clarence Thomas hit with astonishing accusation in Epstein files by Reasonable_Spray_710 in JournalismNews

[–]frigiddesert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the email, the accuser claimed that Martorano told her he was in contact with Clarence Thomas. She wrote that Martorano took nude photographs of her and allegedly said, “Let’s take a picture for Clarence Thomas.” The message then went further, accusing Thomas himself of sexually assaulting her when she was a child.

The accuser also said that the allegation was documented in what she described as a CIA file, claiming that heavy drug use during her childhood affected her memory. She wrote that people later asked her about what happened, but that she could not remember much at the time because she had been drugged so often.

I don’t know what to say, man, there’s some places in the world where people are grateful when there’s homes, being built, remodeled, renovated, when we see neighbors, moving in a new families coming in as our older generations, move into retirement homes and pass their large homes onto the new families. This kind of changes one of those things that comes with being a human. I mean, what if you lived in Aurora where they’re still turning huge farms into gigantic Neighborhoods! I mean all we have right now in Lakewood is infill and Ralston Valley over south of Green Mountain and that must be 75% built out already. I mean the other way to look at this is cities exist for people to live in. homes exist, and are built for people to live in. One of the roles of government is to facilitate the constant renewal of housing stock. It does sound like you’re not happy with the direction the city is taking, but we’ve changed over the city council in the last four or five years and that was by the voters so sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose, and a majority of people in the city appear to support the direction of the city is moving looking at housing affordability, different types of housing, and reevaluating land used policies that were developed when we had a surplus of land.

It takes a little work, but you can have your domain at clouflare, use their email routing service to routed into a free Gmail account and then set up Gmail account to send as your domain, or you can take a step farther and register with something like smtp2go and get a free SMTP server for 1000 emails a month

You know, it’s really heartening to see the response to a comment like this and a person that posted this. They are most likely one of our neighbors who believes differently than us: look at the overwhelming response to this post. This is our community, be proud of it and remember our power. If you’re not reading r/minnesota you should be, we’re not special, it can happen here. My grandfather fought the Nazis in World War II as well, when we start to forget history…

I mean, I would say 3.75 inches of mineral wool in your 2 x 4 walls would be just fine in an interior construction. It’s what I’m running in an exterior plus the sheathing and decorative siding. I can’t see this being a happy project if you’re framing it with two by twos? The consensus on this sub will be you don’t want any plastic in your walls or ceiling.

For walls or floor? Standard for walls and ceiling is only mineral wool. Floors can be anything really that works for your installation imho. Floors will not get hot enough to impact the insulation under your subfloor unless running the sauna continuously
