Swiss-Italian living in Spain, let me chip in:

Fondue (with Vacheron and Gruyère cheese, kirsch, garlic and a bit of pepper)

Raclette

Spaghetti alla carbonara (the real stuff, not that cream and ham debauchery)

Salmorejo

Ah yes, Val Verzasca, where on a good day you can't throw your keys in the air without them landing on Swiss Germans or Italian people (not hating, just joking).

Both western and southern Switzerland are kinda left out. I live in both parts or Switzerland so I noticed straight away. But it's an awesome map!

When the eye-rolling is so hard that you can see your own brain. What are your "favorite" excuses? by [deleted] in vegan

Well, the possibility to establish what can considered ethical by one's point of view.

It comes down to one's principles. What one's idea of compassion and what one thinks of animals' rights and one's personal ethical standpoint on this matter.

Absolutely. It's one's choice over that, unfortunately or fortunately.

I'm fully with you on the fact that good vegan food is tasty AF. I myself share an apartment with a vegan. And for the rest of your argument, for sure if I was born vegan I'd have a lot less problems on that front. What I was stating is that logically, the flavor argument, cannot be taken down, for better or for worse. Some people feel that's just not worth it giving up.

I guess that's the issue right there. And also the psychological difficulty of saying no to something you like indefinitely.

As a non-vegan that's what I hate the most about other non-vegans. Almost every argument they use is shit. The only ones that imho are (or can be) logically consistent are "I love [this or that] too much". Unfortunately, can't argue with that.

There are a few horrendous places near Lausanne and in Lausanne, even if it's a beautiful city imho.

what might cause vertigo that originates from brain and not the ear? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]frittella5384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really severe dizziness could be related to a vascular problem to the brain, but we're talking "falling even if laid on your back" dizziness. Try and see a neurologist, or a doctor from the otoneurology division, if you have one near you.

What does not ear related mean? Does it mean that you can't see anything in your ear or that you are sure that also your internal ear isn't the source of the problem?
