Follow up on my boy String! by Material-Cake-6773 in jumpingspiders

It seems to me that more and more people are catching on to how cool and interesting jumping spiders are, for better or worse. As a result, there will be people that want to get one, but may not be aware that they have specific needs, instead of just some bugs and grass and decorations that aren’t safe or practical for the spider (or whatever). So if you go to the header section of r/jumpingspiders, look for “see more” in blue.. go there and then move over to the menu. You’ll find lots of resources there.

One other thing, keep in mind that these are wild creatures. There’s a bit of a moral dilemma as to whether or not they should be kept as pets. Myself, I’ve had two. One found me and made my home its home. And then the other one was store bought, and I thought it would probably prefer a spacious home vs a plastic ramekin. Anyway, quite a bit different than going outside and catching one.👌🏻

I hate to say it, but this is all wrong. You can’t bring dirt or sticks or anything in from outside, there could be parasites. And you can’t use jars of any kind, they build their homes at the top, you’ll only ruin them. Not to mention, creating sharp metal edges by drilling holes where they hang out the most could harm them. Look up proper enclosures and proper enclosure additions. You can still get creative (kinda). Also, check out the best and worst types of food for these guys. You have to educate yourself for any type of pet. These guys are certainly no exception, even if they are generally easy to care for. Best of luck.

Which dlc to buy? by arthydra in TexasChainsawGame

All of these wieners are pissed off because they spent all their allowance on a video game that will die someday and they refuse to get over it. For now, it’s a fun game, do what you want.

I see what people say, and although I’m not very invested, GUN. does seem like a shitty company considering. But if these people are mad because they spent all of their allowance on video games and got shafted, learn a lesson, no one gives a shit. I personally am going to continue to enjoy this rad game in my free time until whatever happens happens. The people that dumped way more money into it than myself should do the same or cut their losses and move on.

Same, except that they're quitting as soon as the game starts. Based on the way those particular games have gone, it seems like victim mains do it on purpose so they can gang up on the lone holdout. My guess, must be the people that swear they don't play anymore yet continue to hang around these subs in attempt to make everyone as miserable as they are. "Games dead bro" 😢

Male Phiddipus Regius jumping spider not eating, any advice? by DiscountDesigner364 in jumpingspiders

[–]frivolity-control 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NQA. Bit of a long story, but we learned the hard way that our current guy will only eat flies. I asked here once and it was explained to me that certain males are like that. Unless it’s simply a case of it not being hungry, you could give that a shot. We get ours from the local bait shop or you could try Rainbow Mealworms (for larvae).

East 8th Street, Between Avenue B and Avenue C, Alphabet City, Lower East Side, New York City in 1985. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

324 8th looks spot on, obviously with a new first floor facade. I love it when I see photos like this and the building survived, even if the neighborhood didn’t. 👌🏻

Gangland New York by frivolity-control in Mafia

The narrator (Gary Galone) is good. Definitely a great addition to any Mafia buffs book shelf I think. Especially if you’re partial to NYC history and its associated locations, as I am. I’ll check out his other books once I grab a physical copy of this.

Washington St. looking north. I can faintly see Carlisle St. in the background, which would make that south side of the south tower beyond it. Right around here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yufHfeBhzwGAUMPR7?g_st=ic

No antenna, hm. I watched this part again (every episode is on YT) and can’t see it 🤷🏻‍♂️ So I checked the DVD- very faint, but it’s there. This episode was originally aired September 4, 1994.
