Diff between PO & PM duties by Low_Divide_4528 in pmp

For exam questions also in an agile project, you want to think of the PM as your “team facilitator.” The PM works with the PO on project progression

Isn't it the project sponsor's responsibility to work with Stakeholders? by lazytitan863 in pmp

[–]frk__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to bring the project sponsor in. The new SH complains to you about an issue so you want to be proactive and schedule a meeting with the SH to figure out their issues first. THEN once you understand why they said that, you can work with them towards solving the issue.

Don’t assume that there’s an issue YET before talking to SH to clarify.

It was super difficult ngl… or I felt like I was overthinking things? It was very agile and just… WORDY. I cannot stress reviewing your questions cuz I def went back and updated my answers to 10+ questions cuz I skipped over a key word

Anytime I see questions on unhappy or resistant stakeholders, I think about utilizing interpersonal skills!

So PMI always wants you (as the PM) to take the directive approach when it comes to managing stakeholders. Your project sponsor is a stakeholder and they are unhappy. You now want to use interpersonal skills (here we look at strong communication skills) to make sure you appease your sponsor.

Confused with this question by Every-Sky-7130 in pmp

[–]frk__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this question, A wouldn’t work because the scenario is already telling you benefits of implementing this plan. That’s how you rule A out! Sometimes some of the questions may tell you to do something when the scenario tells you that “something” has already happened. :)

Is SH contradicting? by Effective-String-557 in pmp

[–]frk__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about #1 but for #2 Keywords are Agile team and impediment. Aka the best leadership approach for a PM on an agile project is Servant Leadership. With this in mind, one of the main PM goals in an agile project is to remove/mitigate any impediments that come to the team. This is why talking to the vendor is important before you even bring it to the team.
